About the Role The Site Leader - Software Development (Machine Automation) will lead software development and commissioning activities for Special Purpose Machines (SPM) and industrial automation projects. The role involves managing engineering teams, driving software architecture and project execution, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring successful machine deployment and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in automation software, leadership, and project delivery.

Educational Qualification : B.E./B.Tech in Electronics, Mechatronics or a related engineering discipline.

Experience

- 15-20 years of experience in software development in machine automation, preferably in industrial automation and machine control systems, with at least 5 years of experience in team leadership managing machine automation projects, project delivery, and customer handling.
- Proven experience in delivering automation projects, customer handling, machine commissioning and cross-functional team collaboration.

Role Description for Special Purpose Machine Controls Software Development Expertise in developing application software for machines on PC / PLC platform using C/C++, C#, VB, LabVIEW.

Exposure to Industrial Automation Systems including motion control, machine vision, robotics are preferred.

Hands on machine programming experience with interfacing various devices using communication protocols like UART, TCP/IP, EtherCAT and other protocols are preferred.

Role responsibilities





- Strong leadership capability to manage software development and commissioning team 10-12 team members.
- Execution and coding of the defined architecture of the system for industrial automation application.
- Understanding of architecture design and its implementation in defined framework.
- Working as per project execution plan.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Result oriented professional adept at dealing with ambiguity and nimbleness in response Willing to work on shop floor for the equipment trials, Experience in management role and exposure to Customer handling is a must.
- Manage the software development life cycle for high-speed automation projects, including requirement analysis, architecting the Product, Engineering, coding, testing, and deployment. ensure projects are delivered on time with high quality, optimizing resource allocation and budgets
- Lead, mentor, and develop the team of software engineers, automation specialists for future development of similar machines, future maintenance (debugging, minor modifications) and development of new machines through fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
- Organize and conduct performance reviews, Transfer knowledge of business operations.
- Manages all the activities required for project,



set attainable goals to team leaders and provide technical guidance as required.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams especially Mechanical and Controls Design teams and Build and site teams to ensure timely delivery.
- Identify and evaluate new technologies, frameworks, and tools that enhance high-speed automation capabilities and implement best practices for coding (modularity, objectoriented approach) to improve teams and resource efficiency and quality.
- Ensure the documentation related to various technologies and projects are done and maintained for future reference and improvement through RCA and CAPA mechanism.
- Serve as the main point of contact between internal teams and external outsourcing partners, facilitating explicit communication and collaboration.
- Allocate resources effectively to meet project demands and business objectives and strategies for ensuring timely closures.

- Lead, mentor, and develop software engineering and automation teams.
- Foster a culture of innovation, technical excellence, and collaboration.
- Conduct performance reviews and support team growth and capability development.
- Set clear goals and provide technical guidance to team members.
