About The Function

We are seeking a Lead Technical Product Engineer (TPE) to shape the next generation of digital experience across Onboard Services (IT Catering) to power the in flight catering experience for millions of customers. This role is designed for engineers who combine deep software engineering expertise with product thinking to translate complex customer problems into scalable, enterprise-grade technical solutions. As a technical leader, you will drive the end-to-end product lifecycle, partner closely with Business Product Owners, UX Designers, Architects, and Engineering teams, and influence architectural decisions, platform modernization, and engineering excellence across the platform.

You will leverage modern AI technologies, agentic workflows, and distributed systems to accelerate product delivery, improve developer productivity, and create intelligent, customer-centric experiences while serving as the trusted technical bridge between business and engineering.

Key Responsibilities

- Drive discussions around new and emerging platforms and help determine the best way to utilize new technologies to build business solutions.
- Synthesize current state processes, operating models, and ways of working in order to define new, digitally oriented clarity on requirements. The role will work across a diverse stakeholder group, driving consensus, and creating a shared understanding of detailed requirements in conjunction with technical delivery
- Responsible for conducting complex and thorough research of existing processes, systems, systems logic, and desired objectives to develop detailed systems specifications to meet the objectives of the assigned projects.
- Design, prototype, and productionize AI-powered capabilities using modern GenAI technologies including LLMs, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Model Context Protocol (MCP), agentic architectures, orchestration frameworks, and enterprise governance to improve both customer experience and engineering productivity.
- Partner closely with UI/UX teams to capture interactive needs, defining precise acceptance criteria based on component layouts, user states, and design systems. Drive value through rapid POCs.
- Prioritizing and sequencing the backlog of epics/features/user stories according to business value, throughout the release and sprint planning cycles.
- Track and manage delivery execution by monitoring timelines, escalating risks promptly, removing blockers, and facilitating daily scrums to ensure smooth progress and timely delivery.
- Meet with business teams when needed and perform an initial assessment of a problematic situation
- Collect information about the business process through a variety of methods (shadowing, interviews, surveys, reading reports etc.)
- Provide strategic support to customers in defining or designing business processes and help to identify technologies based on customer requirements
- Coordinate multi-system solutions to clarify interdependencies so that systems appear seamless to the customer
- Extensive knowledge of product and software development techniques and agile methodologies
- Ensure AI-powered solutions are secure, explainable, observable, cost-efficient, and compliant with enterprise governance standards while continuously evaluating model quality, reliability, and business outcomes.

What You Need To Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.




- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience as a Technical Product Engineer, product owner or equivalent.
- Solid understanding of system architecture, modern distributed systems, AI foundations (prompt engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), context engineering, guardrails, agentic systems, and LLM-based application design), along with cloud-native platforms such as AWS (Amazon Bedrock, API Gateway, Lambda, CloudWatch, S3, etc.).
- Knowledge of concepts and principles of agile methodology; ability to apply appropriate agile approaches in the processes of software development and delivery.
- Knowledge of product features; ability to design, build, and develop a new product, technology, or service from feasibility through to production.
- Hands-on proficiency in reading and interpreting Swagger/API specifications, RESTful JSON structures, and microservices architecture.
- Experience leveraging AI-assisted software engineering tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, Kiro, Amazon Q Developer) to improve software delivery and developer productivity.
- Knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project.

What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)

- Solid Understanding of Agile/SDLC development methodologies
- DevOps experience including the use of use of Enterprise Agile planning solutions such as Agility.Al or similar.
- Previous experience as a product Subject Matter Expert including ownership for its development and performance.
- Experience designing, deploying, and scaling enterprise AI applications using Amazon Bedrock, Anthropic Claude, OpenAI APIs, or equivalent GenAI platforms.
- Familiarity with leveraging AI-assisted software engineering frameworks (e.g., Copilot, Kiro, Cursor,



Bedrock) to optimize enterprise engineering workflows.
- Flexibility to adapt and plan for changing business objectives.
- Cloud Architecture certification, such as AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner.
- Certification in Agile frameworks, such as a Product Owner certification.
- Airline business experience, as well as business process re-engineering and/or extensive experience working with agile teams, is desirable
