Job Title: Lead Systems Engineer – PostgreSQLExperience: 8–12 Years

Location: Bengaluru/ Chennai

We are looking for an experienced Lead Systems Engineer – PostgreSQL with strong expertise in PostgreSQL database architecture, administration, performance tuning, High Availability, Backup & Recovery, and large-scale database environments.

Key Skills & Responsibilities:

- Strong experience with PostgreSQL 12–15, architecture, design, administration, and troubleshooting.
- Expertise in Backup & Recovery, WAL archiving, PITR, Replication, and High Availability.




- Hands-on experience with pg_dump, pgBackRest, repmgr, pgBouncer, pg_repack, pgAudit, FDW, and related extensions.
- Experience in performance tuning, query optimization, patching, upgrades, migrations, and DR setup/testing.
- Strong knowledge of postgresql.conf, pg_hba.conf, monitoring, and performance analysis.
- Hands-on experience with Shell scripting and Ansible for automation and operations.
- Experience managing large-scale environments (1000+ databases) and AWS RDS for PostgreSQL.
- Knowledge of ITIL processes including Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
- Robust problem-solving, crisis management, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills:

- Multi-cloud exposure (any 2 public clouds).
- Database migration experience from Oracle, MS SQL, or Sybase to PostgreSQL.
- Experience with on-premises and cloud infrastructure architecture.
- Knowledge of Python or Perl, POCs, database technology evaluation, documentation, governance, and team mentoring.

Notice: Strong PostgreSQL hands-on experience is mandatory.
