About the RoleWe are looking for a hands-on Lead QA – Automation who can take ownership of the overall QA strategy while remaining deeply involved in automation, framework development, API testing, and release quality.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Playwright, JavaScript/TypeScript, API automation, CI/CD, and a proven ability to work closely with Engineering and Product teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end QA activities across web and API applications.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reusable test automation frameworks.
- Develop and execute UI automation using Playwright with JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Perform API testing and automation using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or similar frameworks.
- Integrate and maintain automated test suites within CI/CD pipelines.
- Create and maintain comprehensive test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and regression suites.
- Drive functional, regression, integration, smoke, sanity, and end-to-end testing.
- Identify, track, and manage defects through the complete defect lifecycle.
- Work closely with Developers, Product Managers, and other stakeholders to identify risks and ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle.
- Perform root cause analysis and contribute to preventing recurring defects.
- Establish QA standards, automation best practices, and quality metrics.
- Review automation code and mentor QA engineers.
- Support release validation and provide QA sign-off based on defined quality criteria.




- Continuously evaluate and adopt modern QA tools, frameworks, and practices.

Required Skills & Experience
- 7+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance / Test Automation.
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright.
- Strong programming experience in JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
- Hands-on experience in API testing and automation.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
- Experience designing or maintaining automation frameworks.
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum, SDLC and STLC.
- Experience with Git/GitHub/GitLab.
- Strong understanding of functional, regression, integration, API, UI, and end-to-end testing.
- Experience with JIRA or similar defect/test management tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to take ownership of QA delivery and work independently in a fast-paced product environment.

Good to Have
- Selenium / Cypress experience.
- SQL / database testing.
- Performance testing using JMeter, k6, Gatling, or similar tools.
- Docker / cloud testing experience.
- Experience testing applications built using Node.js, React, or TypeScript-based technology stacks.
- Experience with mobile testing / Appium.
- Experience with AI-assisted testing tools and modern QA practices.
- Experience mentoring or leading QA engineers.
