Role & responsibilities :

We are looking for an experienced Payments Production Support Lead with strong expertise in the Banking & Payments domain The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience supporting critical payment applications, robust technical skills in SQL/PLSQL, UNIX Shell Scripting, and experience working with payment engines such as GPP, Fedwire, CHIPS, SEPA, SWIFT, or Payment Gateway platforms.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Lead and manage the Production Support team for mission-critical payment applications.

Provide L2/L3 support for payment systems and ensure adherence to SLAs.

Monitor production environments, investigate incidents, and drive timely resolution.

Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures for recurring issues.

Work closely with Development, QA, Infrastructure, and Business teams to resolve production issues.

Support application deployments, releases, and post-deployment validations.

Perform impact analysis, defect triaging, and incident management.

Write and optimize complex SQL/PLSQL queries for troubleshooting and data validation.

Develop and maintain UNIX Shell scripts for automation and operational support.

Participate in on-call support and weekend deployments as required.

Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance.

Ensure compliance with banking security,



audit, and operational standards.

Preferred candidate profile

8+ years of IT experience with strong exposure to the Banking/Payments domain.

Minimum 1 year of experience leading or mentoring a team.

Strong understanding of payment processing life cycle.

Technical Skills

Strong hands-on experience in:

SQL

PLSQL

UNIX/Linux

Shell Scripting

Experience in Production Support activities including:

Incident Management

Problem Management

Change Management

Release Support

RCA preparation

Application Monitoring

Payments Knowledge

Hands-on experience with at least one of the following payment systems:

GPP (Global Payments Plus)

Fedwire

CHIPS

SEPA

SWIFT

Payment Gateway platforms

Good understanding of payment types including:

Domestic Payments

Cross-border Payments

RTGS

NEFT

Wire Transfers

ACH

High-value Payments

Preferred Skills

Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Grafana, or similar.

Knowledge of scheduling tools such as Autosys or Control-M.

Exposure to ITSM tools like ServiceNow or JIRA.

Basic understanding of Java applications and middleware.

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Banking or financial services project experience is highly preferred.
