Lead Analyst - Credit Review Commercial Real Estate – Gurgaon/Pune – 8+ Years

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Real Estate Credit professional with 8+ years of experience in commercial credit/lending and strong exposure to US CRE loans. The ideal candidate will be bringing expertise in credit review, underwriting, cash-flow analysis, DSCR, risk ratings and collateral assessment. Strong knowledge of US banking regulations and the ability to independently evaluate loan quality will be essential for this role.

Responsibilities

1. Independently reviewing CRE loans across construction, bridge and permanent/stabilized structures and assessing overall credit quality.
2. Validating borrower risk ratings against internal grading policies and regulatory classification standards.
3. Building and reviewing loan-level cash-flow models, DSCR calculations and stress-testing scenarios.
4. Assessing rate-reset, maturity, interest-rate cap and refinancing risks across CRE loans.
5. Evaluating borrower, sponsor and guarantor financial strength, global cash flow and recourse structures.
6. Reviewing property appraisals, environmental reports and market data to identify collateral value deterioration.
7. Interpreting regulatory requirements and evaluating adherence to credit policies, risk limits and established standards.
8. Preparing detailed workpapers and presenting review findings to management, business stakeholders and regulators.

Requirements

1. Possessing 8+ years of experience in Commercial Credit/Lending with strong US CRE exposure.
2. Demonstrating strong knowledge of US banking laws and regulations related to commercial credit and underwriting.
3. Having hands-on experience with CRE loan structures including construction, bridge, permanent and mezzanine loans.




4. Having strong understanding of multifamily, office, retail, hotel/motel and industrial property fundamentals.
5. Demonstrating expertise in DSCR, cash-flow analysis, stress testing, interest-rate risk and refinance risk.
6. Possessing experience in loan review, underwriting, portfolio management, credit policies and remediation.
7. Holding CA/CPA/MBA Finance or a Graduate degree in Finance/Accounting.
8. Demonstrating strong communication skills with the ability to independently interact with senior management and onshore stakeholders.
