Roles and Responsibilities

A Beautician is responsible for providing professional beauty and personal-care services while maintaining high standards of hygiene, customer service, and client satisfaction.

1. Beauty Services

- Provide facials, clean-ups, waxing, threading, manicures, pedicures, and other salon services.
- Perform services according to the salon's procedures and quality standards.
- Recommend suitable treatments based on the client's needs.
- Use beauty products and equipment correctly.

1. Customer Service

- Welcome clients warmly and professionally.
- Understand client requirements before starting a service.
- Explain procedures, products, and after-care instructions.
- Handle client concerns politely and professionally.
- Build strong relationships to encourage repeat visits.

1. Hygiene & Safety

- Maintain personal grooming and skilled appearance.
- Sterilize and sanitize tools and equipment after use.
- Maintain cleanliness of the treatment area.
- Follow hygiene and safety procedures at all times.
- Dispose of used materials properly.

1. Product Knowledge & Sales

- Understand the products used in the salon.
- Recommend appropriate home-care products.




- Explain product benefits without pressuring clients.
- Support retail sales and salon promotions.

1. Appointment & Time Management

- Complete services within the scheduled time.
- Coordinate with the receptionist and other team members.
- Avoid unnecessary delays between appointments.
- Maintain productivity while ensuring service quality.

1. Client Records

- Maintain client service and product records where required.
- Note client preferences and relevant service information.
- Follow up with clients when necessary.

1. Teamwork & Professional Conduct

- Work effectively with hairstylists, receptionists, and other salon staff.
- Follow instructions from the Salon Manager.
- Maintain punctuality and attendance.
- Participate in training and improve technical skills.
- Follow salon policies and SOPs.

1. Business Support

- Achieve individual service and sales targets.
- Promote packages, memberships, and special offers.
- Encourage repeat bookings.
- Minimize product wastage and take care of salon equipment.
