Role & responsibilities

Home Automation & KNX

- Design, program, configure and commission KNX-based automation systems.
- Develop automation logic, scenes, schedules, control interfaces and user functions.
- Work with KNX devices including sensors, actuators, dimmers, switches, gateways and controllers.
- Configure and troubleshoot KNX bus communication and topology.
- Prepare KNX system architecture, device addressing and programming documentation.
- Integrate KNX with third-party systems such as HVAC, lighting, curtains, security, audio/video and other building systems.
- Diagnose communication, programming and commissioning issues on-site.

Wired & Wireless Automation

- Strong understanding of wired and wireless automation solutions.

- Working knowledge of

- KNX

- Zigbee
- Z-Wave
- Wi-Fi-based automation
- Other relevant bus and retrofit protocols
- Ability to recommend the appropriate technology based on project requirements, site conditions and existing infrastructure.
- Experience in retrofit automation projects will be an advantage.

AV & Audio Integration

- Design audio systems based on room size, acoustics, application and client requirements.
- Prepare audio system designs, speaker layouts and equipment specifications.
- Design solutions for stereo, multi-room audio, home theatre and distributed audio applications.
- Perform audio calibration, tuning and system commissioning.
- Configure DSP, amplifiers,



processors and audio distribution systems.
- Troubleshoot audio signal, connectivity, phase, impedance and performance-related issues.
- Understand speaker placement, coverage, amplifier matching and basic acoustic principles.

Drawings, Documentation & Site Execution

- Prepare wiring diagrams, system schematics and connection diagrams.
- Create and modify CAD drawings for automation and AV installations.
- Prepare cable schedules, rack layouts, equipment layouts and device placement drawings.
- Coordinate with architects, interior designers, electrical contractors and site teams.
- Conduct site surveys and convert project requirements into executable technical designs.
- Supervise installation, testing, programming and final commissioning.
- Prepare project documentation, programming backups and handover documents.

Preferred candidate profile The ideal candidate should be:

- Comfortable working both on-site and at the design/programming level.
- Capable of independently handling a project from design programming installation coordination calibration commissioning handover.
- Robust in troubleshooting and logical problem-solving.
- Able to understand client requirements and convert them into practical technical solutions.
- Comfortable coordinating with multiple stakeholders and site teams.
- Willing to travel to project sites when required.
