: Kitchen Assistant

Reports To: Head Chef / Kitchen Supervisor

Location: Centralized Kitchen — Oragadam Main Road, Sriperumbudur

Job Type: Full-time, rotational shift (Breakfast, Lunch/Dinner, Supper)

Job Summary

Supports the kitchen team in daily food preparation and production for large-volume industrial catering. Responsible for prep work, maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen, and assisting with packing and dispatch, all under the guidance of the chef and kitchen supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

Food Preparation

- Assist cooks with bulk cooking tasks — stirring, portioning, and basic prep for rice, curries, and tiffin items.
- Follow standard recipes and quantities to maintain consistency.

Hygiene & Cleanliness

- Maintain personal hygiene — apron, gloves, hairnet — at all times.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces after each use.
- Ensure storage areas are clean, organized, and free of contamination.




- Follow FSSAI food safety guidelines and company hygiene protocols.

General Support

- Support the team during peak production hours across all shifts.
- Carry out any other kitchen-related tasks as assigned by the chef/supervisor.

Requirements

- Prior kitchen or food service experience preferred, not mandatory — training provided.
- Physically fit and able to work rotational shifts, including early morning and late-night hours.
- Willingness to follow hygiene and safety protocols consistently.
- Basic understanding of Tamil; no formal education requirement.
