Key Account Manager (KAM) – Broker Partnerships

About the Role
We are looking for a Key Account Manager (KAM) to own and grow Growth Investing's relationships with major broker and distribution platforms connected with Smallcase.
The role will be responsible for signing up brokers, managing strategic broker accounts and driving business through their client and distribution networks. The KAM will work closely with the broker's management, sales teams, Relationship Managers, advisors, franchisees and other distribution teams to ensure that Growth Investing Smallcases are effectively positioned, trained, activated and distributed to their clients.
This is a strategic business development and key account management role, with direct responsibility for expanding business from existing broker relationships.
Key Responsibilities1. Broker Acquisition & Onboarding
- Identify and approach major brokers and financial distribution platforms connected with Smallcase.
- Lead the complete process of signing up brokers as distribution partners for Growth Investing Smallcases.
- Build relationships with senior management and key decision-makers within broker organizations.
- Present Growth Investing's investment solutions, Smallcases and business proposition to prospective partners.
- Coordinate internally and with the broker to complete commercial, operational and onboarding requirements.
- Ensure smooth transition from partner signing to actual business activation.
Target universe may include Top 20 Brokers in India.
- Key Account Management
- Own day-to-day relationships with assigned strategic broker accounts.
- Act as the single point of contact for the broker for Growth Investing's business.
- Maintain regular engagement with senior management, business heads, sales heads, RMs and advisors.
- Understand each broker's business structure, distribution model and growth priorities.
- Identify opportunities to increase penetration and revenue within existing accounts.
- Prepare and execute account-wise business growth plans.
3. Business Development & Revenue Growth
- Drive business growth from existing broker relationships.
- Identify opportunities to expand Growth Investing Smallcases across branches, RMs, advisors, franchisees and client segments.
- Develop account-specific strategies for increasing client acquisition and Smallcase subscriptions.
- Track business performance broker-wise and identify gaps and growth opportunities.
- Work with partner teams to create campaigns, activation initiatives and sales programs.
- Take ownership of achieving account-wise and overall revenue targets.
4. Sales Team & RM Training
- Conduct regular training sessions for broker sales teams, RMs, advisors, franchisees and other relevant teams.
- Train partner teams on:
- Growth Investing
- GI Smallcases and investment themes
- Product positioning
- Ideal client profiles
- How to present Smallcases to clients
- Handling client objections
- Sales conversion process
- Conduct product refreshers whenever new Smallcases, themes or important portfolio developments are introduced.
- Ensure partner teams are equipped to independently pitch and distribute GI Smallcases.
5. RM / Advisor Incentive Programs
- Work with broker partners to develop incentive programs for RMs, advisors and sales teams.
- Identify suitable business campaigns to increase Smallcase distribution.
- Coordinate with internal and broker teams on incentive structures, contests and activation programs.
- Track campaign performance and recommend improvements.
- Ensure incentive programs translate into measurable business growth.
6. End-to-End Distribution Mapping
- Map the complete distribution structure of each key broker account.
- Understand the flow from Broker → Business/Wealth Team → RM/Advisor/Franchisee → Client.
- Identify decision-makers, influencers and business owners within each account.
- Ensure GI Smallcases are properly integrated into the partner's sales and distribution process.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure product information, marketing material, training, onboarding and operational requirements are delivered.
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks affecting distribution or sales.
7. Partner Activation & Engagement
- Ensure newly signed brokers become active business partners rather than remaining dormant accounts.
- Develop structured activation plans for every new account.
- Organize product launches, sales meetings, webinars, training sessions and partner campaigns.
- Maintain regular communication with partner teams.
- Monitor partner activity and follow up on leads, client meetings and conversions.
8. Internal Coordination
- Coordinate with Research, Product, Marketing, Operations and Senior Management teams to meet partner requirements.
- Communicate broker feedback and market requirements internally.
- Ensure partner requests are tracked and resolved within agreed timelines.
- Coordinate launches of new GI Smallcases across partner platforms.
- Maintain accurate account-level MIS covering business, activation, training and growth initiatives.

- Number of new brokers signed up
- Revenue generated from broker accounts

- Number and effectiveness of RM incentive programs

Candidate Profile
- 5–10 years of experience in key account management, broker relationships, wealth management, mutual funds, fintech, investment products or financial distribution.
- Strong existing understanding of the broking and wealth distribution ecosystem.
- Experience working with brokers, wealth platforms, RMs, advisors, franchisees or financial distributors.
- Strong relationship management and business development capabilities.
- Ability to engage with senior management as well as frontline sales teams.
- Strong presentation and training skills.
- Commercially driven with a clear focus on revenue and business growth.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and follow-up skills.
- Ability to manage multiple strategic accounts simultaneously.
- Willingness to travel within Mumbai and, when required, to partner locations.
What This Role Requires
This is not a conventional relationship-management role.
The KAM will be expected to own the broker relationship and drive the entire business lifecycle:
Broker Acquisition → Commercial/Operational Onboarding → Distribution Mapping → Sales Team Training → RM/Advisor Activation → Incentive Programs → Client Distribution → Revenue Growth → Account Expansion The ideal candidate should have the ability to open doors at broker organizations, build solid relationships, activate their teams and convert those relationships into sustained business for Growth Investing.
