Position: Karate / Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) Teacher

Level: Primary School – Classes I to V

Job Purpose To provide structured, safe, and engaging Karate and Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) training to students from Classes I to V, focusing on physical fitness, discipline, self-defence, confidence, coordination, and overall physical development.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct regular Karate/MMA training sessions for students of Classes I–V.
- Plan age-appropriate training programmes based on students' physical abilities and skill levels.
- Teach fundamental techniques, including basic stances, punches, kicks, blocks, movements, and self-defence techniques.
- Introduce basic MMA concepts such as controlled striking, footwork, balance, coordination, and age-appropriate grappling techniques.
- Ensure that all training activities are conducted in a secure, controlled, and child-friendly environment.
- Teach discipline, respect, teamwork, confidence, and sportsmanship alongside martial arts skills.




- Monitor students' progress and provide appropriate feedback and encouragement.
- Identify students with potential for participation in inter-school competitions and support their development.
- Organise demonstrations, belt-level assessments, competitions, and martial arts-related school events where required.
- Maintain proper attendance and progress records of students.
- Ensure appropriate warm-up and cool-down exercises during every session.
- Strictly follow school policies relating to child safeguarding, student safety, and appropriate physical contact.
- Coordinate with the school administration and Physical Education department regarding training schedules and student performance.

Required Qualifications & Skills
- Recognized certification/diploma in Karate, Martial Arts, MMA, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant teaching/training experience, preferably with primary-school children.
- Experience in teaching children aged approximately 6–11 years will be an advantage.
