Role Description The Junior Video Editor is a full-time, remote role responsible for supporting the creation of engaging video content for a variety of brands and campaigns. Day-to-day tasks include editing raw footage into polished videos, applying basic color grading, adding motion graphics and straightforward visual elements, and preparing different versions optimized for social media and other digital platforms. The person in this role will collaborate with senior editors, designers, and content strategists to ensure each video aligns with brand guidelines and project objectives.





Additional responsibilities include organizing and maintaining media assets, following clear workflows and deadlines, and implementing feedback efficiently to improve overall video quality.

Qualifications

- Strong foundational skills in Video Production and Video Editing, with the ability to assemble raw footage into cohesive narratives.
- Working knowledge of Video Color Grading to enhance visual consistency and mood across different types of content.
- Basic to intermediate Motion Graphics skills to create titles, transitions, lower thirds, and simple animated elements.
- Graphics skills to collaborate on or create supporting visual assets, such as thumbnails, overlays, and social media visuals.
- Proficiency in common editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar) and familiarity with motion/graphics tools (e.g., After Effects, Photoshop).
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and the ability to meet deadlines in a remote, collaborative environment.
- Valuable communication skills and openness to feedback, with a willingness to learn from senior team members and grow within the role.
- Relevant coursework, certification, or a portfolio demonstrating video editing projects; prior internship or freelance experience is an advantage.
