Role Description The Java Technical Lead is a full-time, on-site role based in Noida.This role is responsible for leading the design and development of Java-based enterprise applications, guiding the team in implementing scalable microservices, and applying best practices in architecture and design patterns.

The Java Technical

Lead will collaborate with product managers, architects, and other engineers to translate requirements into technical solutions, review code, and ensure high-quality software delivery. Day-to-day activities include hands-on programming, mentoring team members, conducting technical reviews, and optimizing application performance and reliability. The role also involves coordinating with cross-functional stakeholders, contributing to technical documentation, and continuously improving development processes and standards.





Qualifications

10– 17 years of experience in Java backend development

Strong knowledge of Java 8 or later

Strong experience with Spring Boot

Experience with Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA and Hibernate

Solid understanding of REST API development

Experience integrating with third-party APIs

Strong knowledge of MySQL

Experience writing and optimising complex SQL queries

Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design principles

Experience with multithreading and concurrency

Experience with exception handling, logging and debugging

Familiarity with Maven or Gradle

Experience using Git-based source control

Experience writing unit tests using JUnit and Mockito

Understanding of microservices or modular service-oriented architecture

Experience working with SaaS or e-commerce products

Experience with Amazon, Shopify, TikTok Shop, NetSuite or ERP integrations

Familiarity with AWS services such as EC2, S3, SQS, Lambda and CloudWatch

Experience with message queues and asynchronous processing

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead design, development, and maintenance of scalable Java/Spring Boot backend services and REST APIs.
- Own technical architecture for order, inventory, fulfilment, tracking, product, and integration workflows.
- Lead REST/SOAP integrations with third-party platforms, including OAuth 2.0, API keys, webhooks, retries, rate limits, and idempotency.
- Drive application reliability through proper validation, exception handling, failure recovery, and fault-tolerant design.
- Lead production troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, performance optimisation, and permanent corrective actions.
- Design and optimise MySQL schemas, SQL queries, indexes, transactions, and high-volume data processing.
- Conduct code and architecture reviews, enforce engineering standards, and ensure quality, security, and test coverage.
- Lead performance and scalability initiatives across APIs, schedulers, queues, batch jobs, databases, and asynchronous processes.
- Mentor developers, provide technical guidance, and drive best practices across the engineering team.
- Collaborate with Product, Business, QA, DevOps, Support, and Operations teams to deliver technical solutions.
- Provide technical estimates, identify risks and dependencies, and support release and production readiness.
- Drive refactoring, technical-debt reduction, automation, observability, and continuous engineering improvement.
