Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary bilingual liaison between Japanese client stakeholders (HQ and regional teams) and the Oracle Cloud delivery team across requirement workshops, CRP/UAT cycles, and steering committee updates.
- Support supply chain process workstreams planning, order management, procurement, inventory, and manufacturing — and, where relevant experience exists, contribute to configuration, testing, and rollout activities on the Oracle Cloud platform.
- Translate and localise functional specifications, process flows, test scripts, and training materials between Japanese and English, ensuring technical accuracy is preserved.
- Facilitate real-time interpretation during design workshops, CRP demonstrations, and issue-resolution calls with Japanese business and IT stakeholders.
- Support fit-gap analysis and solution design for Japan-specific statutory, tax, and reporting requirements within Oracle Cloud (e.g. consumption tax, Japan GAAP nuances, e-invoicing).
- Coordinate with onshore Japan-based teams and offshore delivery teams to manage cultural and time-zone alignment, escalations, and status reporting.
- Contribute to test scenario validation, data migration reviews, and cutover planning for multi-country, multi-plant Oracle Cloud implementations in the automotive sector.
- Support change management and end-user training delivery for Japanese-speaking plant and business teams.
Required Qualifications
- Japanese Language Proficiency (Primary requirement): JLPT N3 minimum; N2 or above strongly preferred. Demonstrated experience using Japanese in a professional/business context (client calls, documentation, workshops).
- Industry Background (Primary requirement): Prior experience on automotive OEM or Tier-1/Tier-2 supplier programmes — familiarity with JIT/JIS manufacturing, multi-plant/multi-country rollouts, and automotive-specific supply chain processes.
- Oracle Cloud Knowledge (Good to have, not mandatory): Exposure to Oracle Cloud Supply Chain modules — Supply Planning, Order Management, Procurement, Inventory Management, Manufacturing, Product Hub/PLM — will be viewed favourably but is not a prerequisite.
- Consulting Experience: Prior experience with a Big 4, global systems integrator, or automotive-industry consulting/coordination role; comfortable working in client-facing delivery roles.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Commerce, or a related field; any ERP or Oracle Cloud certification is a bonus, not expected.
- Willingness to travel to client sites (India and potentially Japan) as required by programme milestones.
Preferred / Good to Have
- Prior experience specifically supporting Japanese automotive clients (e.g. DENSO, Toyota Group, Honda, Nissan, Suzuki, or their Tier-1 supplier ecosystem).
- Hands-on knowledge of Oracle Cloud Supply Chain modules from prior implementation, support, or super-user experience.
- JETRO or other formal bilingual business-communication certification.
- Prior experience as a bridge engineer, IT coordinator, or business analyst in a Japanese-client environment — candidates robust on language and automotive-industry fit will be considered even without direct Oracle exposure, with structured platform training provided on the job.
