Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled ITI Fitter / Mechanical Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and upkeep of production machinery and mechanical equipment. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring machines operate safely and efficiently with minimum downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

· Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of production machinery and mechanical equipment.

· Identify and troubleshoot mechanical faults in machines and equipment.

· Carry out fitting, assembly, dismantling, alignment, and repair work.

· Handle maintenance of bearings, shafts, gears, chains, belts, couplings, pumps, and other mechanical components.

· Conduct regular inspection of machinery to identify potential breakdowns.

· Support installation and commissioning of new machines and equipment.

· Perform lubrication and routine maintenance as per maintenance schedules.

· Maintain proper tools, equipment, and maintenance materials.

· Record machine breakdowns, maintenance activities, and replacement of spare parts.





· Coordinate with the Production team during machine breakdowns and maintenance activities.

· Follow preventive maintenance schedules and ensure timely completion of assigned work.

· Maintain workplace safety and follow all company safety procedures.

· Ensure proper housekeeping in the maintenance area.

· Support the Maintenance Supervisor/Engineer in other mechanical maintenance activities as required.

· Required Skills

· Good knowledge of mechanical maintenance and fitting work.

· Knowledge of industrial machinery and mechanical components.

· Ability to read basic mechanical drawings and measurements.

· Knowledge of bearings, gears, shafts, belts, chains, pumps, and pneumatic/mechanical systems.

· Basic knowledge of preventive and breakdown maintenance.

· Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to work independently as well as in a team.

· Willingness to work in shifts when required.

Eligibility:

· ITI Fitter / Mechanical Trade from a recognized institute.

· 1–3 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing/industrial environment.

· Freshers with strong technical knowledge may also be considered.
