Job Summary

We are looking for an IT / EDP Auditor to independently execute IT and EDP audit assignments covering IT General Controls, application controls, ERP systems, data integrity, system security and IT-related compliance. The role will involve data analytics, control testing, audit reporting and coordination with internal audit teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Review IT General Controls including user access, provisioning, de-provisioning and segregation of duties.
- Evaluate ERP and accounting system controls across platforms such as Tally Prime, SAP and other ERP systems.
- Review change management, backups, batch jobs, incident management and IT operations.
- Assess physical and logical security of servers, databases and data centres.
- Test automated controls, system validations and approval workflows.
- Review vendor, customer, item and GL master data for integrity and unauthorised changes.
- Verify audit trail / Edit Log functionality and related compliance.
- Extract and analyse large datasets including ledgers, daybooks and transaction logs.
- Identify duplicate transactions, gaps, backdated entries, unusual transactions and potential fraud indicators.
- Use Excel and data analytics tools such as SQL, ACL, IDEA or Python.
- Prepare audit working papers and reusable data analytics scripts where required.




- Assess IT-related statutory and regulatory compliance.
- Prepare IT audit reports with risk-rated observations, root cause analysis and practical recommendations.
- Present IT audit findings to management and integrate observations into internal audit reports.

Required Skills

- Advanced MS Excel.
- Working knowledge of at least one of SQL / ACL / IDEA / Python.
- Understanding of ITGC frameworks such as COBIT, ISO 27001 and ITIL basics.
- Knowledge of ERP/accounting systems and IT controls.
- Understanding of IT audit, system controls and data analytics.
- Knowledge of Indian statutory IT requirements and audit trail compliance.
- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and report-writing abilities.

Qualification

Graduate / Postgraduate in Commerce, IT, Computer Science or a related field.

Preferred

- Experience/exposure in IT Audit, EDP Audit, Internal Audit or IT Controls.
- Exposure to manufacturing, steel, logistics, healthcare or power-sector clients.
- Knowledge of information security, VAPT concepts and cyber-risk controls.
- Candidates who can translate technical findings into business and audit risks will be preferred.

Reporting The position will report to the Engagement Partner / Internal Audit Head and work closely with the internal audit team.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
