About the Role

Indian Electricals is looking for an experienced and responsible Inventory Manager to take ownership of stock accuracy and stock availability across the counter and godown. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in stores or inventory control, with strong knowledge of stock management, physical verification, reconciliation, and inventory systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain accurate physical and system stock records across the counter and godown.
- Check inward materials against purchase invoices and POs, process GRNs, and report short, damaged, or incorrect supplies.
- Ensure outward material is issued only against approved invoices, delivery challans, or issue slips.
- Maintain proper location and bin discipline across multiple SKUs.
- Track serial numbers and batch details for warranty-bearing and high-value items.
- Set and review minimum stock and reorder levels and follow up on open purchase orders.
- Monitor slow-moving, dead, discontinued, and damaged stock and prepare monthly reports.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical stock verification and close stock variances with proper reasons and corrective actions.
- Supervise stores staff involved in inward, picking, packing, dispatch, housekeeping, and documentation.
- Coordinate with Purchase, Accounts, and Sales regarding GRN mismatches, invoice holds, warranty returns, and urgent customer requirements.
- Prepare monthly inventory MIS covering stock value, availability, ageing,



dead stock, stockout instances, pending GRNs, and stock variance.

Requirements

- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in stores or inventory control.
- Experience in a multi-SKU trading, distribution, wholesale, or retail environment is preferred.
- Experience supervising a stores team.
- Hands-on experience in physical stock verification and variance reconciliation.
- Working knowledge of Tally or comparable inventory/accounting software.
- Robust knowledge of stock inward, issue, transfer, adjustment, and stock reporting.
- Experience setting reorder levels and following up on open POs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including maintaining stock availability and ageing reports.
- Willingness to work physically across the godown and counter floor.
- Graduate or diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, Commerce, Engineering, or a related field.
- Electrical product knowledge is an added advantage.
- Experience in electrical, hardware, building material, FMCG, pharma distribution, or auto parts is relevant.
