Junior Interior Designer – Company: Excel Constructions & Interior Designers, Pune Job Type: Full-Time Experience: 1–2 Years Location: Pune, Maharashtra About the RoleWe are looking for a creative, skilled, and detail-oriented Junior Interior Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of residential interior design, good knowledge of materials and finishes, and the ability to work closely with clients, senior designers, vendors, and execution teams. You will be involved in the complete design process—from understanding client requirements and developing concepts to preparing drawings and coordinating with the execution team.

Key ResponsibilitiesUnderstand client requirements, preferences, lifestyle, and budget. Develop creative and functional interior design concepts for residential projects. Prepare 2D layouts, furniture plans, elevations, and detailed drawings .

Create and modify designs using AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D software, and other design tools . Prepare material selections, colour combinations, finishes, and furniture specifications. Coordinate with senior designers, site engineers, contractors, and vendors.

Conduct site visits and ensure designs are implemented as per drawings. Take accurate site measurements and prepare drawings accordingly. Assist in preparing BOQs, material specifications, and project documentation.

Coordinate with clients regarding design changes and approvals. Ensure projects meet quality, design, timeline, and budget requirements.



Stay updated with current interior design trends, materials, hardware, and finishes.

Required

SkillsGood knowledge of residential interior design and space planning . Proficiency in AutoCAD is required. Knowledge of SketchUp, 3D Max, V-Ray, Enscape, or similar software will be an advantage. Good understanding of modular kitchens, wardrobes, furniture, false ceilings, lighting, and other interior elements.

Knowledge of plywood, laminates, acrylic, hardware, finishes, and other interior materials. Valuable communication and presentation skills. Strong attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Willingness to visit project sites when required.

Qualification

Diploma / Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.

Experience 1–2 years of relevant experience in residential interior design preferred. Freshers with solid design skills and good software knowledge may also be considered.
