GCP Infrastructure engineer

About:

We are looking for a GCP Infrastructure Engineer with 2–5 years of experience to manage, automate, and support cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with GCP services, infrastructure automation, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities:

- Design, deploy, and maintain infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Manage GCP services such as Compute Engine, VPC, Cloud Storage, IAM, Cloud Load Balancing, Cloud SQL, GKE, and related services.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.
- Work with Terraform or similar Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
- Monitor infrastructure performance, availability, and security.
- Troubleshoot production infrastructure and network-related issues.
- Implement cloud security, IAM policies, access controls, and best practices.
- Support backup, disaster recovery, scalability, and high-availability requirements.
- Collaborate with development, DevOps, security, and application teams.

Mandatory Skills:

- 2–5 years of experience in Cloud / Infrastructure / DevOps Engineering.




- Robust hands-on experience with GCP.
- Good knowledge of Linux administration and networking fundamentals.
- Experience with Terraform / Infrastructure as Code.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Cloud Build.
- Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes/GKE.
- Understanding of IAM, VPC, DNS, load balancing, firewalls, and cloud security.
- Good scripting knowledge in Bash, Python, or similar.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Good to have:

- GCP certification such as Associate Cloud Engineer or Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, Prometheus, or Grafana.
- Experience managing production-grade cloud environments.
- Exposure to FinOps, cloud cost optimisation, and security best practices.

Ideal candidate:

Someone who is hands-on, technically strong, and comfortable owning infrastructure end-to-end. You should be able to troubleshoot independently while working closely with engineering and product teams.
