In India, we are present in five locations and operate as BA Continuum India Private Limited (BACI), a non-banking subsidiary of Bank of America Corporation and the operating company for India operations of Global Business Services.
Process Overview The Global Information Security (GIS) is responsible for protecting Bank information systems, confidential and proprietary data, and customer information. The team develops the Bank’s Information Security strategy and policy, manages the Information Security program, and identifies and addresses vulnerabilities, Develops, deploys and manages a risk-based controls portfolio, Manages and operates global security operations center that monitor, detects and responds to cybersecurity incidents.
GIS Identity & Access management (IAM) Access Control Team goal is to ensure that the control processes and effectiveness are within the identified risk tolerance. Manage the performance and effectiveness of the working control through the establishment of metrics with thresholds. Validate the reasonability of Laws, Rules and Regulations mapping alignment to the controls, as aligned by the GIS Policy team.
The individual will be part of Privileged Access Management Services team. The associate would be responsible for enabling enterprise-wide adoption of HashiCorp Vault by onboarding applications, platforms, infrastructure teams, and cloud services into the organization's secrets management ecosystem.
This role serves as a technical consultant and onboarding specialist, partnering with application development, DevOps, cloud engineering, infrastructure, and cybersecurity teams to design, implement, and operationalize secure Vault integrations.
Responsibilities
- Enterprise Vault Onboarding
- Participate and support onboarding of applications, infrastructure platforms, cloud services, and automation solutions into HashiCorp Vault.
- Partner with application owners, developers, platform engineers, security teams, and cloud architects to assess requirements and define onboarding approaches.
- Design and implement secure integration patterns aligned with enterprise security and regulatory requirements.
- Support large-scale onboarding initiatives involving multiple business units and engineering organizations.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor for Vault adoption and secrets management best practices.
- Develop repeatable onboarding processes that improve onboarding velocity and consistency.
- Identify and resolve authentication, authorization, policy, and operational issues.
- DevOps and Automation
- Partner with DevOps, Cloud Engineering, and Platform Engineering teams to automate Vault deployments and integrations using: Terraform, Jenkins, AWS CloudFormation, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD Toolchains, Git
- Documentation, Presentation, and Enterprise Enablement:
- Develop comprehensive onboarding guides, standards, operating procedures, and implementation playbooks.
- Create detailed integration documentation covering authentication methods, secrets engine configurations, onboarding requirements, troubleshooting, and support processes.
- Maintain knowledge repositories, architecture standards, & onboarding documentation libraries.
- Produce support documentation for operations and engineering teams.
- Create reference architectures and implementation patterns for common onboarding scenarios.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as the primary onboarding contact for application and platform teams.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity, identity, cloud, DevOps, and infrastructure organizations.
- Communicate onboarding timelines, risks, dependencies, and implementation recommendations.
- Build robust relationships with engineering leadership and business stakeholders.
- Support enterprise-wide secrets management transformation initiatives.
- Demonstrated success using scripts (PowerShell), python, bash to process data
Requirements
Education: B.E/B.TECH/MCA/MSc (IT) equivalent (Any Technical Degree)
Certifications: HashiCorp Vault Associate or Operations Professional Certification
Experience Range: 6 to 8 Years
Foundational skills
- 3 years of experience with HashiCorp Vault administration, engineering, or onboarding activities.
- Demonstrated experience implementing Vault authentication methods and secrets engines.
- Experience integrating Vault with enterprise applications and cloud platforms.
- Experience with DevOps automation and Infrastructure-as-Code principles.
- Strong understanding of identity, secrets management, and privileged access concepts.
- Experience working within large enterprise environments.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- AI fundamentals, excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills
- Ability to efficiently acquire and utilize new skills in response to change
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment and Willingness to work in shifts
Desired skills
- Experience supporting enterprise Vault deployments with thousands of applications.
- Experience in DevSecOps and Cloud Security programs.
- Familiarity with Zero Trust architectures and Identity Security initiatives.
- Experience with Agile delivery methodologies.
- Knowledge of PKI, certificate lifecycle management,
and cryptographic services.
- Experience building large-scale onboarding or enablement programs.
