HR MANAGER – AUTONITY

Location: Bangalore

Manpower Responsibility: 200+ Employees

About Autonity

Autonity is a fast-growing B2B motorcycle accessories and distribution business with a workforce of 200+ employees withban even more aggressive retail store and pitsop. We are looking for an experienced and highly hands-on HR Manager to lead the complete HR function at our Bangalore operations.

The ideal candidate should have proven experience managing a 200+ employee workforce, building HR systems and processes, leading recruitment, managing payroll and statutory compliance, and effectively using modern HRMS platforms.

This is a leadership role requiring someone who can build systems, manage a team, maintain discipline and compliance, and work closely with business leadership.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. HR Team Leadership

- Lead and manage the HR team covering:
- Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

- Payroll

- Statutory Compliance

- HR Operations

- Administration
- Allocate responsibilities and monitor team performance.
- Establish HR processes, SOPs, timelines and accountability.
- Act as the primary HR point of contact for the Bangalore operations.
- Develop the HR team and improve their effectiveness.

1. Recruitment & Manpower Planning

- Lead end-to-end recruitment for retail, wholesale, warehouse, sales, customer care, administration and corporate functions.
- Prepare manpower plans in coordination with department heads.
- Monitor vacancies, recruitment TAT and joining ratios.
- Build and maintain a strong candidate pipeline.
- Develop recruitment sources including job portals, consultants, employee referrals, social media and local hiring channels.
- Ensure proper background verification and documentation.
- Drive timely onboarding and induction of new employees.

1. Payroll Management

- Own and supervise the complete monthly payroll process for 200+ employees.
- Validate attendance, leave, overtime, incentives, deductions, LOP and other payroll inputs.
- Ensure accurate and timely salary processing.
- Coordinate with Finance for payroll reconciliation and salary disbursement.
- Review payroll reports before final approval.
- Manage employee salary-related queries.
- Ensure timely Full & Final settlements.
- Maintain proper payroll records and confidentiality.

1. HRMS & HR Technology

This is a critical requirement for the role.
- Own the implementation and day-to-day management of the company's HRMS.
- Maintain 100% accuracy of employee master data.
- Manage employee onboarding, attendance, leave, payroll, documents, performance and exit processes through HRMS.
- Ensure effective usage of Employee Self Service (ESS).
- Generate HR dashboards and MIS reports.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual HR processes.
- Train the HR team and employees on HRMS usage.




- Coordinate with HRMS vendors for implementation, support and issue resolution.

Preferred exposure: Zoho People, Keka, greytHR, Darwinbox, Workday, SAP SuccessFactors or similar HRMS/payroll platforms. The candidate should be someone who has actually operated HRMS systems, rather than merely having theoretical knowledge.
1. Statutory Compliance

Ensure complete and timely compliance with applicable labour and employment regulations, including:
- EPF / PF

- ESI / ESIC

- Professional Tax

- Labour Welfare Fund
- TDS / salary-related statutory requirements

- Bonus

- Gratuity

- Minimum Wages
- Shops & Establishments requirements
- Leave and employment-related statutory requirements
- Contract labour compliance, wherever applicable
- Monitor statutory payments, returns, challans and records.
- Coordinate with statutory consultants and government authorities.
- Handle labour department / PF / ESI related queries, notices and inspections.
- Ensure all statutory records are audit-ready.
- Keep management updated on important changes in labour regulations.

1. HR Operations

- Manage the complete employee lifecycle:

Recruitment → Joining → Onboarding → Probation → Confirmation → Transfer → Promotion → Performance → Exit
- Maintain employee files and documentation.
- Implement and monitor HR policies.
- Manage attendance and leave systems.
- Handle employee grievances and disciplinary matters.
- Ensure proper documentation of warnings, notices and disciplinary actions.
- Conduct employee engagement initiatives.
- Improve employee retention and workplace culture.

1. Administration

- Oversee the HR/Admin function for the Bangalore office and operations.
- Manage office administration and employee facilities.
- Coordinate with housekeeping, security, facility and other service vendors.
- Monitor attendance, discipline and workplace requirements.
- Ensure smooth day-to-day administrative operations.
- Develop and implement administrative SOPs.

1. HR MIS & Management Reporting

Prepare and present regular HR MIS to management covering:
- Total manpower
- Department-wise manpower

- New joiners

- Exits

- Attrition

- Recruitment status

- Vacancy status

- Attendance

- Absenteeism

- Overtime

- Payroll cost

- Salary variance

- Employee tenure

- Leave utilization

- Statutory compliance status

- Recruitment TAT
- HR team performance

The HR Manager should be comfortable presenting data-driven HR reports to senior management.
1. Performance Management





- Implement structured performance appraisal systems.
- Coordinate goal setting and performance reviews.
- Track probation confirmations.
- Identify performance gaps and coordinate improvement plans.
- Work with department heads to establish measurable KPIs.

1. Employee Relations & Discipline

- Maintain a qualified and disciplined work environment.
- Address employee grievances fairly and promptly.
- Act as a bridge between employees and management.
- Handle disciplinary issues in accordance with company policy and applicable law.
- Promote employee engagement and retention.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education

- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, Commerce or related field.
- MBA / PGDM / MSW in HR preferred.

Experience

Mandatory

- 7–10 years of overall HR experience.
- Minimum 3+ years in an HR Manager / HR Operations Manager role.
- Proven experience managing 150–200+ employees independently.
- Robust hands-on experience in recruitment, payroll and statutory compliance.
- Strong working experience with HRMS and payroll software.
- Experience leading an HR team.

Preferred Industry Experience Candidates from the following industries will be preferred:

- Manufacturing

Experience managing sales, warehouse, retail and blue-collar / operational manpower will be an added advantage. MUST-HAVE SKILLS

IDEAL CANDIDATE

We are looking for an HR qualified who is hands-on, process-oriented and commercially aware, and not someone who is limited to employee engagement or recruitment.

The ideal candidate should be capable of independently taking ownership of the complete HR function for a 200+ employee organization, while leading a team responsible for recruitment, payroll, compliance and administration.

If you have successfully managed 200+ employees, implemented/managed an HRMS, handled payroll and statutory compliance, and built a strong HR team, this role is for you.
