Role Description The HR Manager will oversee end-to-end human resources operations, including talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, and employee engagement for Lahara Group’s Chennai office. This full-time, on-site role will involve partnering with leadership to design and implement HR policies, compensation and benefits frameworks, and workforce planning aligned with a fast-growing technology organization. The HR Manager will manage employee relations, support conflict resolution, and ensure compliance with local labor regulations and company standards.
Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating recruitment activities,
maintaining HR documentation and systems, facilitating training and development programs, and promoting a positive, inclusive workplace culture. The HR Manager will also analyze HR metrics to recommend improvements in processes and support organizational change initiatives.
Qualifications
- Experience in core HR functions such as recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee engagement.
- Knowledge of HR policies, labor laws, compliance requirements, and best practices within the Indian regulatory environment.
- Skills in conflict resolution, employee relations, and grievance handling with a focus on fairness and respect.
- Ability to design and implement training, development, and organizational culture initiatives in a technology-focused company.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and levels.
- Proficiency with HR information systems, documentation, reporting, and data-driven decision-making.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; HR certifications (such as SHRM or equivalent) are an advantage.
- Prior experience as an HR Manager or senior HR generalist, ideally within technology, startup, or high-growth environments.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and building a safe, non-discriminatory workplace.
