Qualification – 1. Bachelor's degree in HR, Labour Law, Commerce, Business Administration or a related field.
1. Additional qualification in Labour Laws / Industrial Relations / HR Compliance will be an advantage.
Job Summary :
- We are looking for an experienced HR Compliance skilled to manage and ensure statutory compliance across the organization. The role will be responsible for maintaining compliance with applicable labour laws, statutory filings, audits, documentation, and coordination with government authorities and external consultants.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage end-to-end HR statutory and labour law compliance across applicable locations.
- Ensure timely compliance under PF, ESI, PT, LWF, Gratuity, Bonus, Shops & Establishments, CLRA and other applicable labour legislations.
- Monitor statutory registrations, renewals, returns, challans, registers, notices, and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Central and State labour laws for Chennai and Bangalore locations.
- Coordinate with PF, ESI, Labour Department, Professional Tax and other statutory authorities.
- Handle statutory inspections, audits, notices, queries, and government correspondence.
- Coordinate with external consultants and legal advisors for compliance-related matters.
- Maintain and periodically audit statutory registers and employee compliance records.
- Ensure compliance documentation is complete and readily available for internal and external audits.
- Track amendments in labour laws and assess their impact on HR policies and processes.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual compliance MIS/reports for management.
- Monitor contractor compliance, including contract labour documentation, licences, registers, wage records and statutory remittances.
- Conduct periodic compliance audits of employees, contractors and HR processes.
- Identify compliance gaps and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Support HR and Payroll teams in ensuring accurate statutory deductions and remittances.
- Ensure timely closure of compliance observations and audit findings.
- Maintain proper records of statutory payments, returns, licences, certificates and correspondence.
- Support implementation of new statutory requirements and HR compliance processes.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) :
- 100% timely completion of statutory filings and payments.
- Zero major statutory non-compliances or penalties.
- Timely closure of audit observations and statutory notices.
- Accurate maintenance of statutory records and registers.
- Effective contractor and labour-law compliance monitoring.
- Timely reporting of compliance status and regulatory changes.
