Role Description The Head of DevOps is a full time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, responsible for leading the design, implementation, and optimization of ETPL’s infrastructure and delivery pipelines. This role oversees CI/CD workflows, environment provisioning, system reliability, and production support across multiple product lines. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with software development teams to streamline releases, managing infrastructure automation and monitoring, ensuring security and compliance, and driving performance and cost optimization.

The Head of DevOps will lead and mentor a DevOps team, establishing best practices, defining standards, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.

Qualifications

- Strong background in Software Development, with hands-on experience integrating development workflows into DevOps practices.
- Deep understanding of Infrastructure management, including cloud platforms, automation tools, and monitoring solutions.
- Proven experience in Continuous Integration and delivery, including designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and release processes.




- Demonstrated Team Leadership skills, including mentoring, stakeholder communication, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Advanced proficiency with Linux systems, including system administration, scripting, and performance tuning.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform) is highly beneficial.
- Strong focus on security, reliability, and scalability, with experience implementing DevSecOps practices.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work on-site in Bengaluru and collaborate effectively with product, engineering, and business teams.

Requirements:

1. 6–9 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering.
2. Strong hands-on experience with AWS/Azure cloud infrastructure.
3. Experience in designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
4. Strong knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
5. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Pulumi.
6. Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Datadog.
7. Experience in incident management, troubleshooting, and production support.
8. Good knowledge of cloud security, access control, and secrets management.
9. Experience with database backup, replication, failover, and performance tuning.
10. Understanding of SLOs, SLIs, and reliability engineering practices.
11. Experience working in SaaS or enterprise technology environments.
12. Experience in a multi-product or multi-tenant environment is preferred.
13. Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills. Experience managing or mentoring DevOps/Infrastructure engineers.
