Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced and strategically minded Head Accountant to lead our accounting and finance department. This individual will take full ownership of the companys end-to-end financial operations, including general ledger management, financial planning and analysis (FP&A;), treasury, tax compliance, and regulatory reporting.

The Head

Accountant will ensure robust internal controls, optimize cash flow, and deliver actionable financial insights to senior leadership to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities

- Financial Management & Strategy
- Oversee all core accounting functions: Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Payroll, General Ledger, and Fixed Assets.
- Drive annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, variance analysis, and long-term financial planning.
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L;, Cash Flow) in accordance with accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS/Ind AS).
- Cash Flow & Treasury Operations
- Monitor daily cash balances, manage working capital requirements, and optimize short-term/long-term liquidity.
- Maintain relationships with banking partners, handle credit facilities, loans, foreign exchange, and treasury operations.
- Taxation, Audit & Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws, managing direct and indirect tax filings (e.g., Corporate Tax, GST/VAT, TDS, Sales Tax).
- Lead internal and external statutory audits, acting as the primary point of contact for external auditors and regulatory bodies.




- Establish, maintain, and enforce internal financial controls and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to mitigate risk.
- Team Leadership & Systems
- Manage, mentor, and evaluate the accounting team (senior/junior accountants, billing specialists).
- Oversee and upgrade financial systems, ERP software (e.g., SAP, Tally, NetSuite, QuickBooks), and automated accounting workflows.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce. Master’s degree (MBA Finance) or qualified accounting designation (CPA, CA, ACCA, or CMA) strongly preferred.
- Experience: 8+ years of total accounting experience, with at least 3–5 years leading a finance team or managing full-charge company accounts.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, NetSuite, Tally, or similar), financial modeling, and advanced MS Excel (Pivot Tables, Macros, complex logic formulas).
- Expertise: Deep command of statutory compliance, taxation laws, financial auditing, and corporate finance principles.
