Key Responsibilities
- Integrate, validate, and test electrical and electronic subsystems for autonomous and defence-grade platforms.
- Plan and execute system integration, functional validation, and qualification testing.
- Perform environmental and reliability testing, including shock, vibration, temperature, humidity, insulation resistance, and environmental stress testing.
- Execute compliance testing in accordance with applicable defence standards such as MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, and related specifications.
- Perform electrical validation activities including power-up testing, wiring verification, continuity checks,
insulation resistance (IR) testing, and signal integrity verification.
- Validate PCB assemblies, cable harnesses, connectors, grounding, shielding, and electrical interfaces to ensure robustness in harsh operating environments.
- Test and troubleshoot communication interfaces including CAN, RS-485, Ethernet, and other embedded sensor networks.
- Investigate test failures, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Prepare and maintain detailed test procedures, reports, qualification records, compliance documentation, and issue trackers.
- Collaborate closely with Mechanical, Electrical, Embedded, Systems, Manufacturing, and Field Engineering teams to improve product reliability and manufacturability.
- Support product certification activities and coordinate with external test laboratories and certification agencies.
- Own the complete validation lifecycle from component-level verification through subsystem integration, system qualification, and field release.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 2–5 years of experience in electrical system integration, validation, testing, or qualification.
- Strong understanding of electrical schematics, wiring, connectors, PCB assemblies, and embedded electronic systems.
- Hands-on experience with electrical test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power analyzers, signal generators, insulation resistance testers, and data acquisition systems.
- Experience in troubleshooting complex electrical and electronic systems.
- Familiarity with defence, aerospace, robotics, automotive, marine, or industrial embedded systems is preferred.
- Exposure to environmental qualification and EMI/EMC testing will be an advantage.
- Valuable documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
