We are seeking a skilled Hardware Engineer to support the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of IT hardware infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing laptops, desktops, workstations, printers, and other peripheral devices, as well as assembling, configuring, and maintaining server hardware components. The role involves identifying hardware failures, replacing defective parts, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring optimal performance of IT equipment.

The Hardware

Engineer will also assist with server builds, hardware upgrades, rack installations, cable management, inventory management, and asset tracking. The candidate should be capable of providing technical support to end users, coordinating with vendors for hardware procurement and warranty claims, and maintaining accurate documentation of repairs, installations, and hardware assets. A strong understanding of computer hardware, server architecture, networking basics, and troubleshooting techniques is essential. The ideal candidate should possess excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while ensuring minimal downtime for business operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair laptops, desktops, workstations, and peripheral devices.
- Install, replace, and upgrade hardware components such as RAM, SSDs, HDDs, motherboards, power supplies, and processors.
- Assemble, configure,



and deploy server hardware components.
- Perform preventive maintenance and health checks on IT equipment.
- Install and configure operating systems and hardware drivers.
- Manage server rack installations, cable management, and hardware organization.
- Coordinate with vendors for repairs, warranty claims, and hardware procurement.
- Maintain hardware inventory and asset records.
- Troubleshoot hardware-related issues and provide end-user support.
- Perform hardware testing and diagnostics to identify failures.
- Support data center operations and server maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with IT security and asset management policies.

Skills and Qualifications

- Experience in laptop and desktop hardware troubleshooting and repair.
- Knowledge of server hardware assembly and maintenance.
- Familiarity with computer components, storage devices, memory modules, and networking hardware.
- Understanding of operating system installation and hardware diagnostics tools.
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts and structured cabling.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
