We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Security Consultant to join our Security Risk Management team. This is an excellent prospect for a recent graduate to develop a career in security consulting while supporting the delivery of physical security, risk management, and resilience projects across various sectors including infrastructure, transportation, commercial, industrial, government, and critical facilities.
The successful candidate will work alongside experienced consultants to assist in security assessments, risk studies, security planning, and client engagements while gaining exposure to international best practices and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of security risk management and security design consulting projects.
- Assist in conducting security risk assessments, threat and vulnerability assessments, and security surveys.
- Contribute to the development of security strategies and security design reports.
- Assist in preparing security reports, presentations, and client deliverables.
- Support security system design reviews including CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, perimeter protection, and security operations requirements.
- Assist in gathering, analysing, and interpreting security-related data and intelligence.
- Conduct research on emerging threats, security technologies, and industry best practices.
- Analyse project information, security risks, and operational requirements.
- Support the development of risk registers, mitigation measures, and recommendations.
- Assist senior consultants in coordinating with project stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams.
- Support the preparation of proposals, capability statements,
and business development materials.
- Maintain project documentation and security assessment records.
- Prepare clear and concise reports in accordance with company standards.
- Contribute to lessons learned and knowledge-sharing initiatives within the team.
Essential
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Security Management, Risk Management, Criminology, Forensics, International Relations, Emergency Management, or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Desirable
- Relevant internship or work experience in security, risk, resilience, consulting, or related areas.
- Knowledge of physical security principles and international security standards.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam or BIM
- Interest in infrastructure and the built environment sector.
