Role & responsibilities

Bank Gold Loan Officer handles customer acquisition, loan appraisal, and portfolio management for retail gold loans (LAGO). They work locally within bank branches or through open-market sourcing, coordinating with internal appraisers to process applications against pledged gold ornaments.

Key Responsibilities

- Customer Acquisition: Sourcing new gold loan clients via open-market outreach, direct sales, and cross-selling to existing bank customers.
- Sales Targets: Achieving branch-specific volume and value disbursement targets.
- Campaign Execution: Organizing local catchment visibility or below-the-line (BTL) marketing campaigns.
- Operations & Support: Coordinating asset valuation with branch gold appraisers and helping manage collections or delinquent accounts.

Job Profile & Requirements

- Eligibility: Typically requires a graduation degree and prior gold loan sales experience in private banks or NBFCs.
- Salary Range: Depending on experience and location.
- Local Insight: Officers need a solid familiarity with regional small business networks, local geography, and regional language proficiency
