Role Description The General Manager – Payable is a full-time, on-site role based in Raipur, responsible for overseeing the entire accounts payable function for Vandana Global’s multi-vertical operations. The role includes managing vendor payments, reviewing and approving invoices, monitoring payment cycles, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and applicable regulations.

The General

Manager – Payable will coordinate with procurement, finance, and operational teams to resolve discrepancies, optimize working capital, and maintain strong vendor relationships. Day-to-day tasks involve supervising the payable team, analyzing payable reports, implementing process improvements, and supporting audits and financial closing activities.



The role also requires developing and enforcing policies, mentoring team members, and contributing to strategic decisions related to cash flow and cost control.

Qualifications

- Strong expertise in accounts payable management, including invoice processing, vendor reconciliation, and payment scheduling.
- Proficiency in financial accounting, general ledger processes, and closing activities, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Experience with ERP/accounting software, Excel, and financial reporting tools to analyze data and generate actionable insights.
- Knowledge of applicable tax laws, statutory compliance, and internal controls related to payables and procurement.
- Proven leadership skills in managing and mentoring finance teams, with the ability to delegate, monitor performance, and drive process discipline.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy in high-volume environments.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills to collaborate with vendors, procurement, operations, and senior management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field; skilled qualifications (e.g., CA, CMA, MBA in Finance) are an advantage.
- Prior experience in a senior finance or payable leadership role, ideally within steel, mining, power, or similar heavy industry sectors.
