Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced FSMS & Regulatory Affairs professional with 78 years of relevant experience in the nutraceutical, food, dietary supplement, or related industry. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving the Food Safety Management System (FSMS), ensuring regulatory compliance, managing documentation, and supporting product registrations, approvals, labelling, and regulatory submissions.

Key Responsibilities

- Food Safety Management System (FSMS)
- Implement, maintain, and continuously improve the organization's FSMS in accordance with applicable food safety standards.
- Ensure compliance with FSSC 22000 / ISO 22000, HACCP, GMP, and relevant food safety requirements.
- Coordinate internal, external, customer, and certification audits.
- Conduct risk assessments, food safety hazard analysis, and verification activities.
- Monitor CAPA, deviations, non-conformances, and preventive actions.
- Ensure effective implementation of SOPs, work instructions, and quality systems.
- Coordinate food safety training and awareness programs for employees.
- Maintain FSMS-related records and documentation.

Regulatory Affairs

- Ensure compliance with applicable FSSAI regulations and nutraceutical/health supplement regulations.
- Review regulatory requirements for new and existing products.
- Support product registration, licensing, approvals, and regulatory submissions.
- Review and approve product labels, claims, packaging artwork, specifications, and product information from a regulatory perspective.
- Evaluate ingredients, additives, vitamins, minerals, botanical extracts, and other raw materials for regulatory compliance.
- Maintain regulatory dossiers and product documentation.
- Monitor changes in applicable regulations and communicate their impact to relevant stakeholders.
- Coordinate with external regulatory consultants, laboratories, and regulatory authorities whenever required.

Quality & Compliance

- Support supplier qualification and evaluation from a food safety and regulatory perspective.
- Review COAs,



specifications, test reports, and other quality documents.
- Investigate customer complaints and regulatory/quality-related issues.
- Support product recalls, mock recalls, traceability exercises, and crisis-management activities.
- Participate in management reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, Chemistry, Nutrition, or a related field.
- 7–8 years of relevant experience in FSMS, Quality Assurance, and Regulatory Affairs within the nutraceutical, food, dietary supplement, pharmaceutical, or FMCG industry.
- Min 5 years Robust knowledge of FSSAI regulations, nutraceutical regulations, food labelling, and product claims.
- Practical knowledge of HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000/FSSC 22000 and food safety systems.
- Experience in regulatory documentation, audits, CAPA, risk assessment, and compliance management.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills

- Experience handling FSSAI licensing and regulatory submissions.
- Knowledge of Indian and, preferably, international regulations such as US FDA, EU, or other export-market requirements.
- Strong documentation and analytical skills.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with R&D;, QA/QC, Production, Supply Chain, Marketing, and external stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple regulatory projects simultaneously.
