Role Description The Freight Broker at Empath is a full time, on-site role based in Mohali. This role involves sourcing and matching carriers with shipper loads, negotiating rates, and ensuring that shipments are planned and executed according to customer requirements. Day-to-day tasks include managing load boards, tracking shipments, maintaining accurate documentation, and resolving any issues or delays that arise during transit.

The Freight

Broker will communicate regularly with shippers and carriers to provide updates, confirm schedules, and build long-term business relationships. The role also includes maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and contributing to process improvements that enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

- Experience in freight brokerage, logistics coordination, or transportation management, with strong knowledge of carrier and shipper operations.
- Proficiency in negotiation, rate quoting,



and contract review to secure competitive pricing while maintaining service quality.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills to interact effectively with carriers, shippers, and internal team members.
- Solid organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple loads, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously.
- Comfort with using transportation management systems (TMS), load boards, and standard office software for tracking and documentation.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills to address transit issues, documentation requirements, and regulatory considerations.
- Ability to work on-site in Mohali and collaborate in a quick-paced environment, maintaining professionalism under pressure.
- Prior experience in the freight or logistics industry is preferred

Pay: Up to ₹50,000.00 per month
