The Finance Solution team works closely with client and project teams in the US to help CFOs and their finance organizations identify, design and implement programs that transform their finance functions to meet todays demanding requirements while continuing to provide valuable insights to the business.

A career within the Finance Solutions team, will provide the opportunity to work alongside CEOs, CFOs and Controllers to optimize their Record to Report process. We work closely with clients to diagnose current-state finance operations, identify improvement opportunities, design future-state processes, and implement digital and process solutions to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and control in financial reporting.

Role & responsibilities

4-9 years Experience R2R Finance Strategy, Process Transformation

1. Finance Strategy, Process Transformation & Optimization

- Assist the finance function to define the finance vision, outline clear-set of value proposition, define sustainable cost reduction model, prepare a roadmap for finance transformation strategy, define and develop a finance target operating model.
- Lead assessments and diagnostics of clients Controllership function / R2R processes, identifying pain points, inefficiencies, and control gaps.
- Design future-state processes aligned with leading practices and automation opportunities.
- Drive simplification, standardization, and centralization initiatives across global finance functions.
- Performance / KPI Management - define an effective set of performance measures and KPIs which will focus the business on the delivery of strategy and business plans

2. Technology Enablement & Digital Finance

- Lead implementation and optimization of Last mile tools (BlackLine, Trintech, Floqast, ReconNet, Workiva, Alteryx, Power BI).
- Collaborate with technology teams to define system requirements,



support testing, and ensure smooth deployment.
- Leverage analytics, RPA, and AI-based solutions to drive continuous improvement.

3. Financial Close & Reporting Excellence

- Improve close cycle timelines, accuracy of financial statements, and reconciliation efficiency.
- Implement best-in-class closing calendars, governance models, and reporting frameworks.

4. Stakeholder Management & Communication

- Act as a trusted advisor to client CFOs, Controllers, and Shared Services leaders.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (FP&A;, Tax, Treasury, Procurement) to ensure end-to-end process alignment.
- Prepare and deliver high-quality deliverables, presentations, and reports for leadership reviews.

5. People Development & Knowledge Sharing

- Contribute to firm-wide knowledge creation, methodologies, and accelerators for finance transformation projects.
- Mentor junior team members and support their development through on-the-job training and feedback.

Preferred candidate profile An ideal candidate for the Finance Solutions practice of PwC Advisory Acceleration Center should be proficient in one or more of the below:

- Advising global organizations on improving efficiency and effectiveness in Record to Report processes
- Have a solid business acumen, with an ability to understand how business processes and decisions impact people and organization
- Ability to conduct walkthroughs, workshops and meetings involving various business stakeholders
- Strong understanding of Record to Report processes (GL, Intercompany, Fixed Assets, Reconciliations, Financial Close, Inventory Accounting and Reporting).
- Exposure to automation and reporting tools like BlackLine, Trintech, Floqast, ReconNet, Workiva.
- Working knowledge of any digital tools and accelerators such as Alteryx, PowerBI, Tableau, Power Automate, Power Apps etc. would be an added advantage
