Role Overview

We are seeking a technically skilled and customer-focused Field Application Engineer to support the installation, commissioning, debugging, and maintenance of automation and Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) equipment.

The role requires close coordination with customers and engineering teams to understand technical requirements, troubleshoot equipment, and ensure successful project implementation. Candidates with hands-on experience in 3-axis or 5-axis equipment debugging, machine vision, industrial automation, or after-sales technical support will be preferred.

Project Management candidates with relevant technical knowledge and team-management experience are also welcome to apply.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, commission, debug, and maintain automation and machine-vision equipment at customer sites.
- Perform hands-on debugging of 3-axis and 5-axis automation systems.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, software, motion-control, and machine-vision-related issues.
- Support the setup, calibration, testing, and optimization of AOI equipment.
- Communicate with customers to understand their technical and operational requirements.
- Coordinate customer requirements and technical issues with internal engineering teams.
- Provide on-site technical support, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and after-sales service.
- Conduct equipment testing, trial runs, performance validation, and acceptance activities.
- Prepare service reports, technical documentation, and issue-resolution records.
- Train customer personnel on equipment operation, routine maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.




- Travel to customer sites and overseas training locations as required.

Educational Qualifications

Associate degree, diploma, bachelor’s degree, or above in any of the following disciplines:

Automation Engineering

Mechatronics Engineering

Mechanical Engineering

Electrical or Electronics Engineering

Telecommunications Engineering

Optical Engineering

Computer Science

Instrumentation Engineering

Any other related engineering discipline

Required Skills and Experience

- Practical understanding of industrial automation equipment.
- Hands-on experience with 3-axis or 5-axis equipment debugging is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of machine vision systems, AOI equipment, motion control, sensors, PLCs, servomotors, or industrial cameras is an advantage.
- Ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and equipment-related technical issues.
- Solid customer communication and technical coordination skills.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Willingness to travel and work at customer or project sites.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with cross-functional engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with AOI equipment used in the 3C industry—computers, communications, and consumer electronics.

Previous experience in automation equipment commissioning, field service, application engineering, or after-sales technical support.

Mandarin Chinese proficiency at any level—basic, conversational, or fluent—will be considered an added advantage.
