Job Title: Factory Manager

Department: Production / Manufacturing

Reporting To: General Manager

Job Summary

Responsible for managing the overall garment manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets, quality standards, cost efficiency, manpower utilization, and timely order completion.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end factory operations from fabric cutting to stitching, finishing, packing, and dispatch.
- Plan and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on order requirements.
- Ensure production targets are achieved within the required quality, quantity, and delivery timelines.
- Coordinate with Merchandising, Production Planning, Quality, Stores, Purchase, Maintenance, and HR teams.
- Monitor manpower deployment across cutting, stitching, finishing, checking, and packing sections.
- Improve production efficiency and ensure optimum utilization of manpower and machinery.
- Monitor line productivity, production output, rejection, rework, wastage, and downtime.
- Ensure proper implementation of quality standards at every stage of production.
- Identify bottlenecks in production and take corrective action to maintain smooth workflow.
- Coordinate with the maintenance team to minimize machine breakdowns and production interruptions.
- Ensure proper fabric and accessory utilization and minimize material wastage.
- Monitor factory housekeeping, workplace discipline, safety, and compliance requirements.
- Train, guide, and motivate supervisors, operators, and production staff.
- Monitor attendance, manpower requirements, overtime, and productivity.




- Conduct regular production meetings and review operational performance.
- Prepare and submit daily/weekly/monthly production reports and MIS to management.
- Implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce production costs.
- Ensure finished garments are completed and packed as per customer/order specifications and committed delivery schedules.

Candidate Profile
- Qualification: Diploma/Degree in Textile, Garment Technology, Apparel Production, Fashion Technology, Industrial Engineering, or relevant field.
- Experience: 7–12 years of experience in garment/apparel manufacturing, preferably with experience managing a complete factory.
- Strong experience in cutting, stitching, finishing, quality control, and production planning.
- Experience handling production teams, supervisors, and large-scale manpower.
- Valuable understanding of garment production machinery, workflow, and productivity metrics.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, planning, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work under production pressure and meet strict delivery schedules.

Preferred: Candidates with experience in export-oriented garment manufacturing, bulk apparel production, or handling multiple production lines. Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
