Role: EHS Engineer - IBMS (Contractual) Position: EHS / Safety Engineer - IBMS (Contractual) Location: Chennai Department: Projects - IBMS / CFS (CCTV, Access Control Systems) Experience: 3-8 Years Employment Type: Contractual Role Summary We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Safety Engineer to oversee EHS compliance and safety management for IBMS projects involving CCTV, Access Control Systems (ACS), BMS, and ELV installations . The incumbent will be responsible for implementing safety procedures, conducting audits, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a solid safety culture across project sites.
Key Responsibilities Ensure compliance with company EHS policies, client safety requirements, and statutory regulations. Conduct site safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments for IBMS and ELV project activities.
Perform Job Safety
Analysis (JSA),
Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA), and toolbox talks. Monitor work permits and ensure adherence to safe work practices for electrical, work-at-height, and installation activities. Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions and implement corrective actions.
Conduct safety inductions and regular awareness sessions for site personnel and subcontractors. Ensure proper usage of PPE and compliance with safety standards at project sites. Maintain safety records, reports, compliance documentation, and audit findings.
Coordinate with project managers, customers, and contractors on EHS matters. Support emergency preparedness and response activities at project locations.
Educational Qualifications
Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. Diploma/Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety, Fire &
- Safety, or equivalent certification. NEBOSH, IOSH, or other recognized safety certifications will be preferred.
Experience Requirements 3-8 years of experience in safety management for construction, MEP, ELV, IBMS, or electrical projects.
Experience in handling safety requirements for CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarm, BMS, and related ELV installations. Familiarity with client safety standards and statutory compliance requirements.
