Role & responsibilities :
Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures across all sites.
- Conduct risk assessments, audits, and safety training programs to build awareness and competence.
- Collaborate with operations to ensure best practices in process safety, confined space entry, gas leak detection, and emergency response.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and national occupational health and safety regulations.
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis; implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Develop and execute ESG strategy aligned with company goals and international frameworks (e.g., GRI, TCFD, SASB).
- Drive initiatives to reduce carbon footprint, improve water use, waste management, and biodiversity conservation.
- Oversee data collection and reporting for ESG metrics, ensuring transparency and accuracy.
- Foster stakeholder engagement, including local communities, NGOs, and regulatory bodies.
Develop and publish ESG and sustainability reports; coordinate with investor relations on ESG disclosures.
- Integrate HS and ESG considerations into business strategy, operations, and project development.
- Build cross-functional teams to support sustainability innovation and compliance.
- Monitor emerging trends and regulatory changes; advise executive leadership on risk and opportunity.
- Represent the company in industry forums, policy discussions, and ESG benchmarks.
- Undertake any Health, Safety & ESG related assignment as deemed necessary from time to time.
Preferred candidate profile
Minimum 10-15 years of progressive experience in Health & Safety and ESG roles, preferably in renewable energy or biogas industry.
- Strong knowledge of HSE regulations (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, ISO 45001, ISO 14001) and ESG frameworks.
- Proven leadership in building sustainable and secure organizational cultures.
- Key Competence in Regulatory & Compliance expertise, risk assessment & mitigation, ESG Reporting & Communication • Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
Bachelor of Technology (BTech) or Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in fields like Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering OR Full time Bachelors degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Safety Management.
Full Time Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety and Health
