Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role based in (Andheri), Mumbai. We are seeking a highly experienced and hands-on Engineering Manager to lead and grow our engineering team.

The role demands deep technical expertise in Java, Flutter, Angular, and a full-stack role, along with strong people management skills. You will be responsible for hands-on development, code reviews, technical decision-making, and close coordination with the CTO to drive execution and delivery.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- 12- 15 years of software engineering experience with 5+ years in an Engineering Manager or Technical Lead role.
- Strong hands-on expertise in: Java (backend development, APIs, microservices), Angular, Flutter for cross-platform mobile application development
- Solid experience in system design, scalable architectures, and cloud-based deployments
- Proven experience conducting code reviews, managing and mentoring engineers
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong experience in building loan pricing models, repayment structures, and regulatory requirements within the BFSI domain
- Robust experience in the lending / BFSI / fintech domain.

Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership & Hands-on Development

- Actively contribute to hands-on coding using Java, Angular, and Flutter for critical features and architectural components.
- Strong understanding of Oracle Database, MySQL, & framework.
- Lead system design and architectural decisions for scalable, secure, and high-performance applications.




- Review and approve code to ensure adherence to best practices, coding standards, and performance benchmarks.
- Establish and enforce engineering best practices, including testing, CI/CD, and documentation.

Team Management & Mentorship

- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of backend, frontend, and mobile engineers.
- Conduct regular one-on-ones, performance evaluations, and career development planning.
- Drive a culture of technical excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Support hiring, onboarding, and team scaling initiatives.

Delivery & Execution

- Own end-to-end delivery of engineering initiatives and ensure on-time, high-quality releases.
- Break down product requirements into technical designs and actionable tasks.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Design, QA, and DevOps teams.
- Identify technical risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks and proactively resolve them.

Stakeholder Management & Reporting

- Work closely with the CTO on technology roadmap, architectural direction, and execution strategy.
- Provide regular progress updates, risk assessments, and technical insights to leadership.
- Represent engineering in cross-functional and leadership discussions.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience in mobile-first or full-stack product development environments
- Prior experience working closely with a CTO or senior leadership team

This is a full-time role based in Andheri, Mumbai, with a 5-day work week (Work from office). Immediate Joiners preffered.
