– Engineering Manager

Position: Engineering Manager – R&D; / Product Development

Experience: 10+ Years

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager with 10+ years of experience to lead our engineering and R&D; team involved in industrial electronics, embedded systems, IoT, PCB development, automation and new product/prototype development.

The Engineering Manager will be responsible for taking projects from client requirements to successful prototype development and final delivery, while managing engineers, project schedules, technical challenges, quality and client communication.

The role requires a strong combination of hands-on technical knowledge, project management and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities Engineering & Technical Leadership

- Lead the engineering team for multiple electronics and embedded product development projects.
- Review client requirements and convert them into practical technical specifications and development plans.
- Guide engineers in:
- Embedded hardware development
- PCB design and debugging
- Microcontroller-based systems
- ESP32, STM32, Arduino and similar platforms
- Raspberry Pi/Linux-based systems
- Sensors and industrial interfaces
- IoT and wireless communication
- RS485/Modbus, UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, Wi-Fi, BLE and related protocols
- Review circuit designs, schematics, PCB layouts, firmware architecture and system integration.
- Support engineers in debugging difficult hardware, firmware and integration issues.
- Identify technical risks early and determine whether client requirements are practically feasible.

Project Planning & Delivery

- Prepare a transparent development roadmap for every project with milestones, responsibilities and target dates.
- Break projects into smaller measurable engineering tasks.
- Assign work according to engineer capability and availability.
- Conduct regular project reviews and track actual progress against the plan.
- Ensure projects do not remain stuck because of technical uncertainty or lack of ownership.
- Identify delayed projects early and prepare recovery plans.
- Ensure engineering deliverables are completed within committed timelines.




- Coordinate prototype assembly, testing, procurement, PCB fabrication and external development activities.
- Ensure proper technical validation before client demonstrations and delivery.

Team Management

- Lead, mentor and develop the engineering team.
- Monitor individual engineer workload, productivity and project ownership.
- Conduct daily/weekly engineering reviews.
- Ensure engineers maintain proper project plans and status updates.
- Improve engineering discipline, documentation and accountability.
- Identify skill gaps and arrange training or mentoring.
- Participate in technical interviews and selection of new engineers.
- Help build a strong second-level engineering leadership team.

Client & Requirement Management

- Participate in technical meetings with clients.
- Ask the right technical questions before development starts.
- Identify unclear, conflicting or unrealistic requirements.
- Clearly communicate technical limitations and alternatives.
- Ensure important technical decisions and client approvals are documented.
- Manage requirement changes and evaluate their impact on cost and delivery schedule.
- Support Sales/Management during technical discussions for new projects.

Quality & Documentation Ensure every project maintains appropriate:

- Requirements/specification documents
- Block diagrams and architecture
- Schematics and PCB files
- BOM and component details
- Source code and firmware versions
- Test procedures and results
- Prototype photographs/videos
- Gerber and manufacturing files
- User/technical documentation where applicable

Establish engineering review checkpoints before PCB fabrication, prototype assembly and final delivery.

Required Experience

- 10+ years of relevant engineering experience, preferably in electronics/embedded product development.
- At least 3–5 years of experience leading engineers, projects or an R&D; team.




- Strong understanding of complete electronics product development lifecycle.
- Experience handling multiple development projects simultaneously.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capability.
- Experience taking products from concept → design → prototype → testing → client demonstration/delivery.
- Ability to independently evaluate technical feasibility and development risks.
- Good communication and client-handling skills.

Preferred Technical Background Qualification: B.Tech/B.E./M.Tech in Electronics, ECE, Electrical, Instrumentation, Embedded Systems or related engineering discipline.

Experience in several of the following will be preferred:

- Embedded C/C++
- STM32 / ESP32 / ARM-based MCUs
- PCB schematic and layout review
- Analog and digital electronics
- Power supply and battery-powered product design
- Sensors and instrumentation
- Industrial communication
- RS485 / Modbus / CAN
- Wi-Fi / BLE / RF communication
- IoT/cloud-connected products
- Raspberry Pi/Linux systems
- Prototype testing and debugging
- EMI/EMC and product reliability considerations
- PCB fabrication and assembly
- Component selection and BOM optimization

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Performance will primarily be measured on:

- On-time project delivery
- Engineering project value successfully delivered each month
- Reduction in delayed/stuck projects
- Quality and reliability of prototypes delivered
- Accuracy of engineering planning and timelines
- Effective utilization of engineering resources
- Reduction in PCB redesigns and avoidable development errors
- Speed of technical problem resolution
- Quality of engineering documentation
- Client satisfaction during technical execution and delivery

Candidate Profile We are looking for someone who is not only a manager but an engineering problem solver and execution leader.

The Engineering Manager will be expected to bring speed, technical discipline, accountability and predictable delivery to the engineering team.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
