Role Description The Engineering Apprentice role at Ather Energy Ltd. is a full-time, on-site position based in Hosur. The apprentice will support engineering teams in areas such as manufacturing and mechanical engineering, assisting with process setup, equipment monitoring, and basic troubleshooting on the shop floor.
Daily tasks may include collecting and analyzing production data, preparing reports, documenting standard operating procedures, and supporting continuous improvement projects. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, participating in project planning and execution, and maintaining safety and quality standards in line with company guidelines. Apprentices will receive mentorship, hands-on training,
and exposure to EV manufacturing operations, with opportunities to learn modern engineering tools and methods.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Communication skills for effective collaboration with engineering, production, and quality teams.
- Candidates should possess Analytical Skills to interpret data, identify trends, and support problem-solving in manufacturing processes.
- Candidates should possess Project Management skills to assist in planning tasks, tracking progress, and coordinating small-scale engineering initiatives.
- Candidates should possess Manufacturing Engineering skills to understand production workflows, equipment, and process optimization in an EV environment.
- Candidates should possess Mechanical Engineering skills to support design reviews, basic calculations, and the evaluation of components and assemblies.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related engineering discipline (or currently enrolled in an approved apprenticeship program).
- Basic familiarity with CAD tools, engineering drawings, and standard manufacturing practices is beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site in Hosur, follow safety protocols, and adapt to a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
- Curiosity about electric vehicles, willingness to learn, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
