Thermo Fisher Scientific is hiring an AI Engineer to design, develop, and deploy AI-powered solutions for scientific and business applications. The role focuses on Generative AI, Agentic AI, and scalable, secure AI workflows.

Location: Bangalore, Karnātaka, India

Experience

- 2+ years of experience in AI application development, machine learning, or software engineering
- Experience working in Agile development environments
- Experience with Python and modern software development practices

Qualification

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered solutions
- Build and optimize Generative AI and Agentic AI applications
- Develop intelligent workflows
- Integrate Large Language Models into applications
- Ensure scalable, reliable, and secure AI solutions
- Contribute across the full AI application lifecycle from prompt engineering and model evaluation to deployment and continuous improvement
- Work with cross-functional teams

Additional Responsibilities

- Use Ollama for local LLM deployment and inference




- Build Retrieval-Augmented Generation applications
- Integrate external tools, APIs, databases, and enterprise systems into AI workflows
- Consume REST APIs and develop microservices
- Implement AI guardrails, output validation, content filtering, and responsible AI practices
- Use Git, Agile methodologies, and CI/CD practices
- Apply solid debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Use excellent written and verbal communication skills
