DevOps with Java development | Integration Center of Excellence (ICOE)

Experience: 3 to 6 Years with bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

The Integration Center of Excellence (ICOE) is seeking a highly motivated Engineer 2 - DevOps / Platform Engineer with Kafka &

- Cloud Operations with Java Developer Experience to design, develop, deploy, and support enterprise integration solutions and event-driven applications. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, CI/CD, Kubernetes, and Cloud technologies,



along with a solid sense of ownership for production systems and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based microservices using Spring Boot.
- Develop and consume RESTful APIs following enterprise integration standards.
- Build and support event-driven applications using Apache Kafka.
- Implement reusable frameworks, libraries, and integration patterns.
- Collaborate with architects and senior engineers on application modernization initiatives.

DevOps &
- Automation

- Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps.
- Support containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Automate build, deployment, testing, and release processes.
- Participate in application deployment activities across Development, QA, UAT, and Production environments.

Cloud &
- Platform Operations

- Support cloud-native applications hosted on AWS, Azure, or GCP platforms.
- Work with container orchestration platforms and service mesh technologies.
- Monitor platform health, application performance, and deployment success metrics.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, middleware, security, and application teams to resolve platform issues.

Production Support &
- Reliability

- Provide L2/L3 production support, troubleshoot application and Kafka issues, perform RCA and corrective actions, monitor system health,



and drive initiatives that improve reliability, stability, and operational excellence.

Collaboration &
- Governance

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integration solutions, support Agile practices, maintain technical documentation, and ensure compliance with enterprise standards.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with ArgoCD/GitOps, messaging technologies (IBM MQ, RabbitMQ, JMS), and hybrid cloud integration environments.
- Familiarity with retail or supply chain domains, security scanning tools, and modernization initiatives involving Kafka, Spring Boot, and Java platforms.
