The Opportunity

Seeking a dynamic Engagement and Admission Specalist for a leading Australian university. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing applicant eligibility and financial capacity, evaluating potential risks,



and ensuring compliance with university policies

Role Summary :

Assessment and verification of academic documentation

- Assess academic documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with institutional admission requirements..
- Verify academic credentials through appropriate channels, including educational institutions, DigiLocker, and other approved verification methods, where required.
- Identify discrepancies or potential risks in academic documentation and escalate cases in line with university policies and established procedures.

Genuine Student (GS) Assessment and Processing

- Conduct Genuine Student (GS) interviews to evaluate applicant intent, study alignment, and overall credibility.
- Assess clarity of purpose, course relevance, and long-term academic or career progression
- Maintain structured interview documentation and decision rationale.
- Record detailed decisions and assessments accurately in CRM.

Financial Assessment & Verification

- Conduct GS financial checks to evaluate the applicant’s financial capacity and sustainability.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all Genuine Student (GS) assessment and admissions-related enquiries, providing timely support to internal and external stakeholders.
- Communicate updates to admissions policies and procedures, ensuring consistent understanding and compliance across relevant teams.
- Review supporting financial documents to ensure consistency, sufficiency, and authenticity.
- Identify potential financial risks or gaps that may impact visa or enrolment outcomes.

Risk Assessment and Decisioning

- Perform a holistic profile risk assessment, considering:
- Academic background and progression
- Financial standing
- Interview Outcomes.
- Evaluate applications in line with institutional risk and country-specific risk settings




- Categorize profiles (e.g., low, medium, high risk) and provide clear recommendations

Customer Service and Communication

- Provide high-quality, student-focused service to applicants, families, education agents, and institutional partners.
- Issue clear and accurate communication regarding additional document requests, refusals, and decisions.
- Assist in pre-assessment, pre-departure sessions, and workshops as needed.

Qualifications and Experience

- A degree in a relevant field (e.g., Education, Business, International Relations) and experience in international admissions or GS assessment.
- Strong understanding of the Australian education sector, visa regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Minimum 2 years of demonstrated experience in application assessment, with in-depth knowledge of international admissions processes and compliance requirements.
- High attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills in English and fluency in Hindi; knowledge of additional Indian languages is a plus.
- Previous experience with StudyLink Connect is preferred.
- Experience working with the Australian Department of Home Affairs or similar visa processing experience is an advantage.
- A solid commitment to student service and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
