– End Line Checker Position

Job Title: End Line Checker

Department: Quality Control / Production

Reports To: Quality Supervisor / QA Manager

Location: Umbergaon

Job Purpose To inspect garments at the end of the sewing/production line and ensure that finished garments conform to approved samples, specifications, measurements, workmanship standards, and buyer quality requirements before they proceed to finishing and packing.

Key Responsibilities1. Garment Inspection

- Inspect finished garments coming from the sewing line.
- Check garments for sewing, workmanship, construction, and appearance defects.
- Identify defects such as skipped stitches, broken stitches, open seams, puckering, uneven stitching, loose threads, stains, holes, and incorrect attachments.
- Check collars, cuffs, sleeves, pockets, plackets, zippers, buttons, labels, and other components.
- Verify that garments are made according to the approved sample and specifications.

1. Measurement Checking

- Check critical garment measurements according to the approved measurement/specification sheet.
- Use appropriate measuring tools such as measuring tape, scale, or gauges.
- Identify and report measurement deviations.
- Ensure tolerance limits are maintained.

1. Quality Control

- Follow the company's quality standards, inspection procedures, and buyer requirements.
- Separate defective garments from acceptable garments.
- Mark, record, and communicate defects to the concerned sewing operators or line supervisors.
- Monitor recurring defects and immediately inform the Quality Supervisor.
- Conduct re-checks after defects have been corrected.

Production Line Monitoring

- Monitor the quality level of the assigned sewing line.
- Identify the source of repeated defects and communicate with the line supervisor/QC team.
- Support corrective actions to reduce defects and rework.
- Ensure quality problems are addressed before garments move to the next process.

1. Documentation and Reporting

- Maintain end-line inspection records.
- Record defects, quantities inspected, rejected quantities, and major defect types.
- Prepare or update daily quality reports as required.
- Escalate serious or repeated quality issues to the Quality Supervisor/Manager.

1. Compliance and Safety

- Follow factory quality, safety, and housekeeping procedures.
- Handle garments and inspection equipment properly.
- Maintain a clean and organized inspection area.
- Follow applicable buyer requirements and company policies.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum SSC/HSC or equivalent; technical garment/quality-control training is an advantage.
- Previous experience in garment quality inspection is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of sewing operations and garment construction.
- Ability to identify common garment defects.
- Ability to read measurement/specification sheets is preferred.

- Inspection accuracy and consistency.
- Timely reporting of quality problems.
- Reduction in rework and rejection.
- Compliance with buyer and factory quality standards.

Working Conditions
- Work primarily on the garment production floor.
- May require standing or walking for extended periods.
- Work according to factory shift and production schedules.
- Must maintain concentration in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Authority The End Line Checker is authorized to:
- Identify and report defective garments.
- Separate non-conforming garments from acceptable garments.
- Request correction/rework of defective garments according to company procedures.
- Escalate serious or repeated quality issues to the Quality Supervisor or QA Manager.

Overall Responsibility The End Line Checker plays an important role in preventing defective garments from moving to finishing and packing by ensuring that finished garments meet the required quality, workmanship, measurement, appearance, and buyer specifications. Job Type: Full time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
