About Deckoviz Space Labs

Deckoviz is building the next generation of intelligent art-tech and smart spatial systems. Our platform turns displays and living spaces into adaptive, emotive environments powered by sensors, embedded systems, and smart home technologies.

We are now hiring an Embedded & Smart Home Systems Engineer to help prototype and build the hardware layer of our next wave of Deckoviz devices.

Role Overview

This role is for a hands-on builder who understands embedded systems, smart home integrations, IoT, and sensor-driven devices. You will work directly with our core team to integrate peripherals, sensors, audio systems, and control hardware into our smart TV-based Deckoviz platform.

This role can be part-time or contract-based, allowing you to continue your current job while working with us.

Key Responsibilities

You will work on practical, immediate prototypes including:

- Integrating an external camera with the TV for gesture-based interaction and video functionality
- Integrating a microphone system for voice control modes
- Building a 30-scent diffuser module synced with the TV and mobile app
- Developing a 16-D mini-speaker surround system with dynamic lighting tied to content
- Adding peripheral sensors: IR, ambient brightness, temperature,



humidity, proximity, etc
- Smart home integrations (Wi-Fi, BLE, Zigbee, Matter)
- Creating embedded control for a motorized TV stand/device controlled through the app
- Firmware and microcontroller work (ESP32, STM32, Raspberry Pi, or similar)
- Supporting fast prototyping for new Deckoviz concepts

You must be comfortable working on rapid builds, sensor setups, embedded interfaces, and hardware-software integration.

What We’re Looking For

Technical Skills

- Strong foundation in embedded systems, microcontrollers, and firmware
- Experience with smart home and IoT systems
- Familiarity with sensors, peripheral integration, and real-time control
- Understanding of smart TV or Android TV ecosystems is a plus
- Ability to prototype fast and solve hardware problems independently
