Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Design Manager to lead and manage electrical design activities for building projects. The candidate will be responsible for developing and reviewing electrical designs, managing design deliverables, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage electrical design activities for building projects.
- Manage and guide a team of electrical design engineers and designers.
- Develop and review electrical design concepts, drawings, calculations, and technical specifications.
- Design and review HT/LT systems, power distribution, lighting, earthing, lightning protection, and electrical services.
- Prepare and review electrical load calculations, load schedules, single-line diagrams (SLDs), and equipment sizing.
- Review and coordinate electrical layouts with MEP, architectural, structural, and other disciplines.
- Ensure electrical designs comply with NBC, IS, IEC, and other applicable codes and standards.
- Review electrical BOQs, specifications, tender documents, and technical submissions.
- Coordinate with clients, architects, consultants, vendors, and internal design teams.
- Conduct internal design reviews and ensure accuracy and quality of design deliverables.
- Identify design issues and provide technically sound and cost-effective solutions.




- Ensure timely completion and submission of design deliverables as per project schedules.
- Review and coordinate BIM/Revit-based electrical designs where applicable.
- Provide technical support during tendering and project development activities.
- Participate in client and design coordination meetings.

Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 8+ years of relevant experience in Electrical Design, preferably in the Buildings sector.
- Experience in leading or managing electrical design teams.
- Strong experience in building electrical systems and design coordination.
- Positive knowledge of HT/LT systems, power distribution, lighting, emergency power, earthing, lightning protection, and ELV coordination.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit MEP; knowledge of Navisworks/BIM coordination will be an advantage.
- Strong understanding of electrical design calculations, SLDs, load schedules, BOQs, and specifications.
- Good knowledge of applicable NBC, IS, IEC, and relevant electrical codes and standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Experience Experience in electrical design for commercial buildings, high-rise buildings, residential projects, IT/office buildings, hotels, hospitals, institutional buildings, or large-scale mixed-use developments will be preferred.
