About the Role

We are looking for an experienced EDU Performance and planning engineer to join our Bengaluru team. The role involves leading CAE activities supporting next-generation Powertrain and Propulsion systems, with a solid focus on electrified powertrain technologies.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and coordinating the virtual Design Verification Plan (DVP), supporting design development and gateway readiness, integrating CAE results into engineering decisions, and managing technical activities across the programme lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the delivery of CAE activities supporting next-generation Powertrain and Propulsion systems.
- Plan, create, manage, and execute the virtual Design Verification Plan (DVP) throughout the programme lifecycle.
- Coordinate CAE analysis activities and ensure delivery within agreed timelines and quality standards using Agile delivery methods.
- Support product design development and gateway readiness through effective CAE planning and integration.
- Integrate CAE analysis results, insights, and recommendations into product design decisions.
- Manage programme assumptions, priorities, technical risks, dependencies, and engineering developments.
- Maintain robust data management and ensure quality and control of engineering inputs, including CAD and NGD data.
- Present CAE status, technical updates, programme progress, risks, and key issues to stakeholders at various organisational levels.




- Support physical validation activities and simulation-to-test correlation.
- Lead technical issue-resolution activities and provide clear visibility of programme and engineering risks.
- Act as the primary interface between the CAE team and wider stakeholders, including Design Squads, Vehicle Teams, and other engineering functions.
- Work collaboratively across multiple powertrain attributes and engineering disciplines, with particular emphasis on electrified powertrains.

Essential Skills & Experience
- 4–7 years of relevant experience in CAE, Powertrain Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in engineering task planning and project/programme management.
- Strong understanding of Powertrain system design and analysis.
- Experience working with CAE activities across the product development lifecycle.
- Understanding of Design Verification Plans (DVP) and virtual validation processes.
- Strong knowledge of electrified propulsion technologies, including:
- High Voltage (HV) Batteries
- Electric Drive Units (EDUs)
- Associated data requirements for DVP and virtual validation
- Ability to manage multiple engineering activities, priorities, risks, and stakeholders.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Experience working in Agile engineering or programme delivery environments is desirable.
