Role Description The Eco Technician role is a full-time, on-site position based at Aski Super Specialty Hospital in Bagalkot.

The Eco

Technician will perform routine and specialized echocardiography procedures, including transthoracic and, where applicable, stress or other advanced cardiac imaging studies, in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.

Responsibilities include preparing patients for procedures, operating and maintaining echocardiography equipment, capturing high-quality diagnostic images, and assisting cardiologists and other clinicians in interpreting results. The role also involves accurate documentation and entry of findings into hospital systems, adherence to infection control and safety guidelines, and collaboration with the cardiology and ICU teams to support timely, patient-centered care.

The Eco

Technician is expected to participate in continuous learning, help train new staff when needed, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the department.

Qualifications

- Relevant formal training or certification in echocardiography, cardiac technology, or a closely related allied health field.




- Proficiency in performing echocardiogram procedures and operating up-to-date echo and ultrasound equipment, with strong attention to image quality and patient safety.
- Solid understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and common cardiac conditions to support accurate and reliable imaging.
- Ability to follow clinical protocols, maintain precise records, and use hospital information systems for documentation and reporting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and multidisciplinary clinical teams with empathy and professionalism.
- Demonstrated commitment to infection control, hygiene, and adherence to hospital safety and quality standards.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment and manage multiple cases while maintaining accuracy and composure.
- Willingness to work in Bagalkot on-site and to participate in ongoing training, continuing education, and skill development.
- Prior experience in a super specialty or tertiary care hospital setting, especially in cardiology or ICU, is an advantage.
