The organization partners closely with marginalized communities and amplifies children’s voices in policy forums and government engagements.

Part of a global network active in over 80 countries, Bal Raksha Bharat aims to reach 4 million of the most deprived children in India between 2022 and 2024. All donations to Bal Raksha Bharat are tax-exempt under section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961.

Role Description The Donor Relations Officer is a full time, on-site role based in South Delhi, responsible for cultivating and managing relationships with individual donors, institutions, and philanthropic partners. The role involves developing and executing engagement plans, responding to donor queries, and ensuring timely, accurate communication on the impact of their contributions.

The Donor Relations

Officer will support fundraising campaigns, coordinate donor meetings and events, and maintain comprehensive records in donor databases. Day-to-day tasks include drafting proposals and reports,



preparing stewardship materials, collaborating with internal teams to gather project updates, and ensuring high standards of donor servicing and retention. The role also requires regular monitoring of donor feedback and contributing to strategies that enhance donor satisfaction and long-term support.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated experience in Planned Giving and Philanthropy to engage high-impact donors and structured giving programs.
- Proven skills in Annual Giving and Donor Relations to manage donor journeys, stewardship activities, and retention initiatives.
- Strong Communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication, presentation abilities, and interpersonal effectiveness.
- Prior experience in fundraising, development, or relationship management in the nonprofit or social impact sector is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, communications, business, or a related field; advanced qualifications in fundraising or nonprofit management are an advantage.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, manage multiple priorities, and use CRM or donor management systems effectively.
- Commitment to child rights, equity, and inclusive practices, with sensitivity to diverse communities and stakeholders.
