Role Description The Donor Relations Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai, responsible for building, nurturing, and managing relationships with individual donors, corporate partners, and philanthropic organizations. This role involves planning and executing annual giving campaigns, maintaining donor databases, ensuring timely communication, and preparing impact reports and stewardship materials.

Manager will coordinate with program teams to understand project needs, develop proposals, and track funded initiatives to ensure donor expectations are met.



Additional responsibilities include organizing donor visits and events, identifying new funding opportunities, and supporting the overall fundraising strategy to enhance Sevalaya’s reach and impact.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess skills in Donor Relations and Donor Management to build enduring, trust-based relationships and ensure effective stewardship.
- Candidates should possess skills in Annual Giving and Philanthropy to plan, implement, and evaluate fundraising campaigns and philanthropic initiatives.
- Candidates should possess Project Management skills to coordinate funded programs, monitor progress, and report outcomes to donors.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to draft proposals, reports, and donor communications in explicit, professional language.
- Experience in fundraising, nonprofit management, or social sector work, preferably with exposure to donor engagement or CSR initiatives.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, manage multiple priorities, and maintain high ethical standards and confidentiality.
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, management, communications, or a related field; advanced qualifications in nonprofit management or fundraising are an advantage.
